Remarks

This college is near my hometown. I can drive from home to this college easily. So the hostel stays not needed. It is the only University department college located in heart of the city. Other 14 colleges are located in remote areas. This college also tops the other University departments in academic performance. My elder brother also studied in this college. He scored good and got placed. Also, sports facilities, gym facilities, etc are better than private colleges. To avail of these facilities in private, one has to pay more.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The mechanical engineering department has more flexibility than other departments. So, I considered this department. This department has 12 permanent PhD faculties. No other departments or other department colleges have this facility. The labs are well equipped and the staffs are well professional. The internal exams and other such exams are also smooth. But, scoring marks is a difficult task in internals. The only con in the exam is, the exam pattern is same as that of affiliated colleges. So, it's a drawback.

Internships Opportunities

2

The college doesn't provide internship facilities. It is in the interest of the students to gather information and apply for an internship. The staffs of the respective departments provide support to join in internships.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester students can join placement training and participate in placement drives. Placement training is conducted well. Many companies come for placement drive. 99% of them are IT companies. Even other stream students get a chance only to join IT companies through placement. The core engineering companies which come to the drive requires 4 years bond which most students dislike. The placement is almost 35%. I'm trying to get into a PSU after completing the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for 1st graduate students is Rs 6000 (approx) per semester. For other students, it's approximately Rs 10000. (inclusive of tuition fees). No additional fees. A single time deposit of rs 10000 has to be paid at the time of admission. It will be refunded back at the time of completion of course. Scholarship facilities are also available. Rs 6000 per yr scholarship for obc students and Rs 20000 scholarship for sc students is provided through this college. The tuition fees are only Rs 4000 (included inside the above said semester fees )

Campus Life

5

Photography club, NSS, YRC, RRC and several other clubs are there in the college. NSS takes you camp once, and lucky ones get to go on an adventure trip to some hill regions. All sports facilities are available. In fact, the cricket ground is the biggest in the district. Gym facilities are also available. The college website is run and managed by the IT department.

Placement Experience:

For campus placements students of the 4th year or 7th semester are the eligible ones. Multiple companies like zoho, apple,TCS,CTS, accenture etc have come and multiple small companies too. But the intake for the big and reknown MNCs were low from abt 2-3 candidates only.the placement here is 100% but the companies may vary.My future goal is to go for a government official stream after I finish my masters abroad.

From 3rd year itself a student become eligible for campus placements and some of seniors got ino flipkart like companies. So the college is good at placement. In any colleges, due to college the student can't only be placed, their skills, talents, communication is more important to get placed so based their knowledge the students get placed. only thing college need to do is getting good companies with package and our college also provide it.
