Honest Review from a Struggling student

My course is little financial based. Or I can say more practical rather than theoretical. Due to which I choose this course. In the carriculum you will get the knowledge of Excel which is now essential for very student. Excel has become the basic need for every company. First internal examination will be after 2 months of your semester start. Then the second internal examination will be after 10-15 days. Then External Examination will the after 10 days before these examination viva will be held by externals. These viva are easy the externals are sweet and cooperative. I am more into finance accounts that's why I got influence to choose this course. Mainly I am persuing ACCA in which bcom hons syllabus is a part of ACCA Exams. Overall if you want to persue Bcom Hons (bachelor of commerce) your interest must be in finance and accounting. You must have interest in numbers. And if you have more interest in theoretical based subjects or in the field of business you must go for BBA (bachelor of business administration).

Placement cell of Rukmini Devi Institute of Advance Studies is very nice, appreciable and aware. You will get an decent placement from this college. In my known one student got an placement in Amazon of 35,000 per month ( 4.20 LPA) work from home. As a fresher it is a very nice salary to get after BBA. Also this college offers only 3 courses ( Bcom hons, BBA and MBA) which is one of the reason every student get an opportunity. If for any reason you are enable to get an placement you can find it out of the college. Apply and give interviews in other companies. Many students don't go for placements they directly go for their Masters. They provide you industrial visits as much as they can so you can get an practical exposure. 60-70% of the students get placement. Average package is 4 LPA and highest package is 8 LPA. In the last semester students are eligible for campus placement but in other semester they give you internships also you will get one internship in which you have to go to the company and work for 45 days. They will train you to work there. My plans after completing Bcom Hons is to get and campus placement or if not campus placement, a job. Along with the job I want to persue my masters (MBA) online. Or if I got admission in a good college for masters I will be persuing my masters only not a job.

In the first year, You need to pay 1,53,000 as this amount goes to the university. From second year onwards fees will be 1,28,000per year . Or u can say 63,000 per semester. There is no scholarship available to get into the college you need to give an entrance exam IPU CET. Then you will get college based on your rank in counselings.

There are two Annual Fest of Rukmini Devi Institute of Advance Studies. One is Gyanutsav 2.0 which is academically based. All the activities or compitition is based on academics. This is a two day event held in college itself. There are many compititions to take part of every field like finance, marketing, human resource etc. also many students organize there stalls in the college. Second Annual Fest of Rukmini Devi Institute of Advance Studies is RAZZMATAZZ which is extra curricular fest. In which there compititions of dance, singing, talent hunt, fashion show and many more. Also there is an opportunity to become Mr. And Ms. Razzmatazz where there are three rounds you need to clear. This is an fun enjoying event. It is also an two day event held in Rukmani Devi Public School near by the college. Both the days one of the celebrity come. There is a star night too. For both the Events you needn not to pay any amount. Every society or club of the college are engaged in both the Events. There are a lot of books in the library of every section. There are two library in the college. You can issue from library. Also you will get your semester subjects books issued from Library for the whole semester without any charge. Classrooms are well furnished and technological based and white board and Black along with a computer screen. You can play table tennis, badminton, carrom, chess at the terrace of the college and sports like cricket, football etc. in the Rukmani Devi Public school. There are specific teams of the college like cricket team of Rukmini Devi Institute of Advance Studies like wise of football, volleyball etc. There are clubs like credence club which is more social based they interact socially. Also every club of the college has there own social handle they use and Manage. They encourage us to have social media handles on linkedin and post your talent or any work you are doing. Which helps the companies to see your potential. Overall everything is nice.

My College is Rukmini Devi Institute of Advance Studies. Which come under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. To get into the colleges of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University there is an entrance exam IPU CET ( Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test) which is an General Test. On the basis of you score you will be provided a rank. According to your rank you will get a college from your list and preferences of college in counselings like Delhi University. If you get an college and you want to take admission in that college so you need to pay 60,000 online to university then remaining fees to the college. I applied for Delhi University. I gave CUET got an decent score but I didn't get an decent college in Delhi University. I also applied for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University too at the same time I got Rukmini Devi Institute of Advance Studies and 2 more colleges but I choose this college as it is more feasible to reach direct metro(red line). Also my knowns has studied from her they gave a positive review. And the main thing placement, this college try their best to give you a good placement. Companies come in this college like amazon and wipro. Admission process for this college is same as above. You need to get a decent rank till 4000. For other top colleges of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University you need to get a rank below 1000 for the colleges like VIPS, Maharaja Agrasen and Maharaja surajmal

Faculty Members of our college are nice and hardworking. They encourage us to take part in every thing not only in academics but also in extra curricular activities. For Bcom hons, now it is a 4 year undergraduate program. In one semester there are two internal exams generally of 40-50 marks. They are not much difficult to score. After that one external exams of 60 marks. So the ratio of this is 40:60. Your internal exams marks convert into 40 marks. But the external exams are bit difficult to score. There are 50 students in one class and one faculty for one subject or class. Facilities make you comfortable with them to reach to them freely. Also they make mentors and mentees. Mentors are the faculty members and mentees are the students. Some selected 5-6 students are given to one faculty. And some other 5-6 students are given to another faculty as there mentees and mentors. Mentors take session with there mentees to have a good bond for students can share their problems or if they want some suggestions they can get from there mentors.

Rukmini Devi Institute of Advance Studies is located in Madhuban Chowk, Pitampura. The nearest metro station is Pitampura. Only 5 mins walking distance from Pitampura metro station. For the students living near red line it is an god gift they do not need to change metro. Around College there is one more college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University which basically at the rigt side of the college which is Technia Institute of Advance Studies. You can get the crowd of both the colleges. Also there are two maggie points. Where you can get yummy maggie and shakes, coffee etc. also an juice corner and a stall of momos. You see most of the crowd in these places. And near by there are more places like at the distance of 2-3 km there are may points like chayoos, Zero degree and may more. At the nearest you NSP (Neta ji Subash Palace) which is just two station before pitampura. Where you have pacific mall. Which has many outlets. There are many things to do at nsp.
