The curriculum seems slightly outdated. some of the core subjects could benefit from a more thorough integration with modern concepts. overall the curriculum is good enough for learning new things but has a lot of scope for improvement

kiit offers various internship opportunities with companies like TCS, Wipro, cognizant and IBM. the campus of the university has an inbuilt high-radius branch. roles of the internships include software development data analysis and marketing. interns typically work on projects such as app development web development among other things. the stipend is typically 10000 to 15000 depending upon your roles and your skills and efficiency. the internships also turn into permanent jobs if done properly.

The placement of students typically starts at the mid of 6th semester . the placement process is streamlined with training sessions on resume building , interview preparation and soft skill enhancements all very well in advance. companies like jp morgan, amazon, deloitte , microsoft, cognizant, tcs, accenture, wipro and many more top tier firms are regular recruitrers at the campus

the tuition fee per semester is 192000 for a computer science undergrad for btech. after adding the hostel and mess fees the total amount per semester rounds up to about 250000. the fee for the complete btech course over four years may range from 20 to 24 lacs depending on the types of hostels

the campus hosts a major annual festival kiit fest . kiit fest is a grand cultural and technical event with music dance and competitions. sports facilities are diverse with options for cricket, hockey, kho kho and others as well. there are also plenty of extracurricular activities , from cultural performances to tech clubs , fostering a well rounded student experience

the hostel at kiit provides basic amenities like lights fans a cupboard a chair and a table in each room. the food quality of the hostel is average to below standard. the registration process is straightforward where you choose the type of hostel you want to stay in. overall the hostel is affordable but the meal options could be improved

One of the primary reasons i chose kiit was its strrong reputation for providing a comprehensive all round college life. another main factor which played a significant role in my decision was the campus infrastructure and the facilites here at kiit. i would like to tell you that the central library of kiit is one of the biggest in our country.

the faculty is a mixture of all kinds of professors. there are some very good teachers whom you will love. you would understand everything they would teach and they also give good marks to you. while there are others who are not very strudent friendly and do not interact much with the students, give marks as they seem fit. there are some strict teachers who would ask you to follow a specified set of instructions in their class while others do not care so much. overall it would be better if you be or atleast try to be on the good side of professors or in the very least do not get on their wrong side. every semester there are fixed number of theories and labs with fixed amount of credits around 20 every time. there are midsem and endsem exams every semester with midsem as 20 marks endsem as 50 and 30 marks internal given by the subject professor

the university offers a lively atmosphere with plenty of spots to unwind after classes. on campus students enjoy hanging out at khau gali for snacks, relaxing in the rose garden or the very beautiful and scenic mba garden. or attending events at the open air theatre. nearby nandankanan zoo, esplanade mall and shikarchandi hills are popular places to visit. the campus has a gym , lots of food courts and a library which is open 24 hours. hostels hav curfew typically around 8 pm but the campus remains active. the area around the university is very safe and sound at any time of day
