Remarks

The college is very closely knit and student driven, hence prepares us to be a part of corporate life and mannerism. The negative would be the cab fares from a students perspective but then if you have a group travel, it’s not a concern.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Post graduation might be ones last degree but the curriculum is designed as such one gets the best out of it. The first year of mba is common to all, post which we are assigned our intended specialisations. But the interesting part is, the first year subjects are so well framed that one will be in tune with all 4 major specialisations and not feel out of place when they step in corporate world

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does, I shall be interning with Deloitte. The experience for the process of getting in was really a great experience and they make sure to nurture the talent and provide the opportunity to the deserving candidate. The stipend ranges from 1.2lacs- 96k

Placement Experience

4.5

I personally will be interning with Deloitte and it’s one the best companies to start with. There are companies like JPMC, Morgan Stanley, Cs, dell, RB etc coming to campus with extremely great package and they also provide Pre placement offers based on your summer internship performance

College Events

3.5

The college audiences an eventful year where each month comprises of one. Namely UTTHAN, REVELATION, TEDx etc. one can easily visit Sibm Bengaluru website and find the necessary details and annual calendar.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is little expensive. For the batch of 2018-20 it’s 17.5 lacs. But then the ROI is good, thus helping the loan repayment. We need to pay the fees in 4 instalments before every semester starts. There is caution money which is again refundable.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer student exchange programs with prestigious institutions and the loan facility can be availed from reputed banks names HDFC etc during the time of admission itself. Easy EMI schemes and good amount of payback period is assigned.

Campus Life

4

Basket ball court, cricket leagues, volley ball, badminton court, well equipped labs, Bloomberg terminals, spacious classrooms, fully equipped auditorium, reading room, stocked library, reading room for studying , gymnasium, indoor games like Billiards, foosball etc, amphitheater, late night cafeteria, stationary shop, in-house 365 day medical facility, psychological counsellor, pet dogs for animal lovers

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is separate for boys and girls. Twin and triple sharing rooms with basic necessities of bed, mattress, pillow, study table and chair, notice board, shelves and Almirah are provided. Each room has a bathroom and a toilet. Regular cleaning staff are present in the campus. It’s not only spacious but feels home too. The safety is of utmost concern and thus students need to sign attendance at night 11. Late out and night out permissions are also available in case one wishes to avail the same.

Alumni/Alumna

Very helpful. We conduct alumni meets where inspite of busy schedules, they make time from their busy schedules and impart the latest know-how of the industry trends. There is a committee which handles the same. ALCOM

Exam Structure

Exam is divided into two parts. Internal and externals. We have regular assessments and project submissions, presentations, mcqs, midterms which comprise of the internals. Based on the credit assigned, internals can be 60 or 90 marks and then we have end terms which can be 40 or 60 marks. There are subjects which are completely internal and they don’t have a separate end term paper.

Admission

I had written SNAP. Post which when I qualified the cut off, I was called for a GEPIWAT process. We can choose dates and time as per our ease in the mentioned duration. The process is highly synchronised and their is no glitch what so ever. There is a committee (ADCOM)coordinating the same. Post one qualifies this, a letter of selection is sent and one needs to accept the offer within stipulated time. Industry specialists and college faculty assess the students without bias and declare the results for the best deserving 180 candidate for the batch.

Faculty

5

The faculties hold an extremely strong background with having world class research papers under their names. They choose to teach Harvard cases such that students are versatile with their knowledge. There are visiting as well as permanent faculties. Even the director and deputy director of the college choose to be a part of the academic curriculum. They teach the marketing batch and not just guide the management
