Remarks
I chose this college because I had received positive reviews from my close friends who studied here. The admission process was really good and well conducted. I liked the college when I went there in person for the interview. The faculty and administration system are really good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good and includes a lot of interesting subjects as electives. The marketing specialization does really well in terms of final placement which was one of the reasons I chose this college. Faculty: student ratio is around 60:400. Faculties are from good educational and professional background. Their style of teaching is unique and good. Term exams were timely and if you study consistently it is not difficult to pass the exam with good grades.
Internships Opportunities
I interned at Cummins India Limited and was offered INR 35000 per month. I worked closely with my buddy mentor on a live project relating to batteries used in generators. It was a very enriching experience.
Placement Experience
From the third semester onwards the students become eligible for final placement. Around 80-100 companies visit the campus across all four specializations. The highest package offered was INR 32 lakhs pa. 90% of students are placed in time though assistance is provided to all the students till the very end. My plan is to work at Collegedunia and gain experience!
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a number of scholarships that are available but you need to know about it from the portal and be actively interested to have knowledge about it in details as they explicitly do not mention it. The return on investment is good according to the fee that is charged. I got through collegedunia from the college placement process and I am happy with it.
Campus Life
There are a number of fests and activities that are held throughout the year. It is student driven and gives a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. Revelation is the annual college fest and I was the marketing head of the event. There is a huge library on the first floor which is very well maintained and it also gives access to students to read book online on its portal. There are an indoor badminton court and tennis table. SPL is also held once a year which is a cricket tournament where we bid for our own teams and cheer for them. I was also a part of the Dramatics club (Jzaa), Dance club (Jhankaar) and Creatives Club (Hippocampus).
Hostel Facilities
I was in two people sharing room which was very spacious with a study table, cupboard and an attached bathroom. Meal quality is good and the menu keeps changing according to reviews and suggestions from students. The registration process was very smooth though the roommate allocation is done randomly on a first come first serve basis. The locality is good and they're a lot of places to hand out nearby even though it is not in the main city.
Interview Experience
My GD topic was mandatory attendance and different modes of teaching. The best part of SIBMB is the admission committee which handles the process really well. I prepared through readings on the internet and a few youtube videos which were very informative.
