My overall experience in my college

I would rate my couse 8 out of 10 in terms of effectiveness and comprehensiveness. I always had an interest in mechanical engineering and i am very fond of machines that why i chose mechanical engineering branch. I have got placed in JK papers after completing the course and got a good package from there. The couse can be more application based. The difficulty level of exams should be moderate and not too tough.

The placement cell of the college is good but the number of companies visit every year is less. There were so many good companies like JK papers, Jindal steel, L&T, Simpson, And lot more companies visit every year. The highest package taken from the college is 20 LPA. The percentage should be above 50% to appear for the placements. I got placed in JK papers after completing the course and have been working since then. My plan is to visit germany with all my expertise in recent future.

I was paying rs 30000 per semester and there were 2 semesters in a year so intotal i was paying rs 60000 every year as tuition fees. The course duration was of 4 years so total fees to complete the course was rs 240000 this includes lab fees, transport and all. The registration fees was rs 15000.

There were one mega festival conducted every year which includes sports and arts and it is organised by the college management and they encourage students not only from the same college but also from the different colleges to participate. The library of the college has abundant of books available in it and students can take any of the books they want easily. The classes are well equiped with digital boards projectors and live demonstration instruments. The extra curriculum activities are less but conducted in every 6 months. There are so many social groups formed who help the needy students.

I chose Gandhi Institute of Advanced Computer and Research, Rayagada because of its placement record and expert faculty team. The location of the college was also one of the reasons to choose this college. Apart from this college, i applied in GD Rungta Engineering college, bhilai chhattisgarh but didn't get mechanical engineering there. The addmission and stream is decided as per you previous academic achievement and Odisha jee score card. The overall admission process was smooth and effortless.

There were 1 faculty on every 10 students. The faculties are very supportive and approachable 24 hours in a day. They are always ready to help students. My favourite faculties are Hrudaya Panigrahi, Bvenu, Monoj Behera because they help me every time whenever i needed. I liked almost all the faculties. There were 4 semester exams, 8 mid-semester exams, 108 assessments, 80 practical tests during the entire course. The exams are challenging as it test both your theoritical and practical knowledge and set by expert professors but if the students study with dedication, they can clear the exams easily.

There is a gym in the college which has all the equipments. The caffeterias are good and hygenic and have variety of foods. The timings are 9 am to 3 pm. The famous hangout places are college campus cool parlour, Rayagada hanging bridge. The locality is totally safe in the night time.
