Remarks
The college is pretty good. I feel this has a potential to make a positive mark if they take in-depth specialisation in the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
While I had opted for copywriting, they made me learn everything about how an art director functions, How films happen, how radio gets recorded, how to edit a film, how to think creatively.
Internships Opportunities
I was offered a content writer's position and was offer 1.5 lakhs PA. But this was way back in 2003. I am sure the stipend must have increased and developed over the years.
Placement Experience
The idea is to make you develop a portfolio and not make jobs available in a platter. They sit and make you create work that will make you interesting and is up to you to convert the leads they offer you.
College Events
There was Sankalp at my time which was a big college festivals with quizzes and theatre and stuff. I am not aware of what and how things have progressed.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was roughly around 1.2 lakhs for a 6 month course. It seemed expensive at that time but since other options seemed unavailable, it was the most viable.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Not to my knowledge. I don't think the fee structure was made to be that way. This was a short-term course so not applicable.
Campus Life
The campus is a medley of different cultures and interest. There's someone working on broadcast, someone from design, someone from writing and it becomes a huge melting point.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel and campus is pretty huge. The mess food was good with rotation in the menu. There's also a chota canteen which offers basic stuff.
Alumni/Alumna
Everyone helps each other out from time to time. They always have a soft spot with each other. They keep coming back to the college in one form or the other.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is a presentation of portfolio to the jury members. Your portfolio is of all the work that you have created through the course and present it as if you are applying for a job interview.
Faculty
The faculty was experienced with international and domestic faculty. Needless to say, everyone was from the industry and also has guest lecturers from time to time.
