Review of my college

Our college is very well planned and it is in developing phase they are giving their best. the growth rate is very high. infrastructure is very nice. but academics and placements needs to be improved. and it is the only field MUJ now needs to work on. ALso fees is very high and only those students should take admission here whose parents can afford this much pay.

Course curriculum is much similar to that of IITs and NITs, However it seems many topics skipped during lectures. MUJ focuses on practical and modern study.recently a curriculum conclave was organised where many industrialist, academicians, and students participated and put their ideas for course structure required. currently their is also planning going on about 5 days a week curriculum, though it is still in planning phase and yet not decided whether it will be applied or not. every course has a planned course structure/ syllabus with text books and references is also included in the same with marking scheme.

The no. of students got internship opportunities in industries through MUJ is quite low. A very less no. of companies visited for the same. some of the renowned companies where DELL, CPC, MIS, TERI, MAHINDRA etc. but no. of students selected were very less. however many students got offcampus internship opportunities and some of the students involved themselves in projects in well equipped labs of the college itself.

Placements in MUJ is excellent for CSE and IT. but for rest of the courses it is not very good. Companies like MICROSOFT, DELL, IBM etc came for CSE and IT. Secure meter, torrent power, pinnacle infotech came for core branches which are not very satisfactory. however many companies come for all the students offering business developmen/sales and marketing jobs, some of the good companies were zycus, byju's, extramarks.com etc. in my view i don't recommend any candidate for taking admission in any of the other branch if he is taking admission just to get job. however if a student want to persue his carrier in research field he can come her for sure.

MUJ is very happening colleges with a large no. of festivals and events conducted every year. Oneiros- the cultural festial is the most enthusiastic and a large no. of student from all over the india participate in that. a large no. of events are conducted in oneiros from dance, to music, and intelligence. Then comes fests like techideate - the technical fest, abhivarta- the sports fest, the management fest, E conclave, TEDx etc. all thes event are not less than oneiros the only difference is the main focus is on different areas. beside this many events, like competition, extra courses and workshops are also organised frequently.

Fees is very high undoubtedly. but if you see the infrastructure and facility it is worth, however you can find many college in india having better academic record and less fees. but they are not anywhere in the competition of infrastructure and facilities. hostel fees is also very high but student gets well furnished Single/double sharing airconditioned room with attached bathroom. the quality of rooms are very good. the security is also very well planned and one can feel very safe inside the campus. so may be the fees is very high but they give things of that money. if you don't want those facility and only important thing for you is academics you can choose any other college.

There are many scholarships available at muj. The most popular is scholarship on the basis of sports. for this the candidate needs to play atleast one national tournament or AIU. the scholarship can be availed before and after joining. The second interesting scholarship is scholarship for near by village residents. where students from near by villages gets scholarship in fees. One of the best scholarship is AICTE scholarship where any candidate having family income less than 6 lakhs can avail this scholarship before joining. the counselling process for this happens in other quota. A new scholarship was also said in a speech by ex VC about scholarship for army officer son/ daughter but it is not started yet. all these details can also be availed on website of MUJ.

MUJ is one of the best for extra curricular activities. From singing to dancing, from cricket to boxing all is so nice. there are many clubs like dance club music club, many technical clubs, social clubs, cultural clubs etc. every student is part of 2-3 clubs by his choice. in those clubs they organize events and students can participate and can win cash prizes. the students can also develop managerial skills by working in those clubs as team leaders. there are basket ball court cricket and football ground, squash court, volleyball court, TT, etc in good condition. many indoor game facility is also available. Jam room for music lovers and dance pectice hall is also avialable.

Hostel is situated just in front of the college gate. and one can go to college in 5 minutes from hostel to college and vice versa. A student gets to choose his room and block. single and twin sharing rooms are available. all the rooms are centrally air conditioned for both summer and winter with control in each room itself. hot and cold water is available for bathing. a wash basin with mirror a pod is equipped in bathroom. rooms are equipped with beds, mirror, wardrobes etc. rooms are of good quality and one can feel very relaxed there. hostel security is very nice. Hostel campus has many places where students can hangout and calm themselves. a gym, laundary facility is also available in the campus itself. mess facility is also satisfactory. food is hygienic but not very good in taste but better than all the other mess i have eaten. beside this there are a large no. of food centers and restaurants are available in hostel itself. hostel has also a jam room , dance practice room, indoor and outdoor game facility also

Since the college is new the alumni network is still in developing phase. their is portal where all the senior students are registered. many of them are working in diverse fields from jobs in abroad to reputed civil services in india. many of them are currently studying their post graduation in reputed institutions all over the world. many alumni talks are also organized where alumni are invited to share their experiences to current students about outside world.

Each year is divided in two semesters having two sessionals exam of 15 marks each and one end semester exam of 80 or 100 marks. end semester exam is converted in to 40 marks and sessional marks are added as it is to get 70 out of 100. rest of 30 marks are of internals and it depends on class tests, project work and assignments. all together the total marks for each student is calculated out of 100. however the grade and GPA is calculate don percentile basis. All the exams are conducted in very strict environment with open book and closed book examination pattern. the pattern of exam depends upon subject. many subject are open book and many subjects are closed book.

First of all candidate needs to fill an online form for MU-OET which is Manipal University Jaipur Online Entrance Exam. Once filled the form correctly. the candidate will get his/ her admit card online itself with all the info regarding test centres, timing etc. A candidate is given chance to sit in more than one session of exam if the candidates want to depending upon his performance in the exam taken. marks of the test will be shown right after the test on the screen itself. after a month or a half the manipal official result will be declared with rank. and candidate will get a portal accessible to them only for counselling registrations. all the candidates will get chance to give preference to their choices of campusses ( MAHE, Manglore, MUJ Jiapur, SMIT. Sikkim and foreign branches of manipal) and also to prefer courses ( CSE, IT, CCE, EEE, ECE, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, Production etc) in all these campuses. the counselling is done in four rounds each having limited seats. A candidate once get any branch in any campus needs to pay fees for that course. however he can also go for further upgradation of course and campus. once a candidate gets his choice he will get his admission letter and can start the course. if someone is willing to opt out from the course he can get his paid fees refunded.

Faculties in MUJ are very well qualified, experienced, and dedicated. Ease of availability is very nice and any student can meet any faculty whenever he needs to. teacher not only teaches the subject matter but also its impact and need in industries. beside permanent faculties their also come many guest professionals to provide guest lectures on specific topics. Faculty focuses on project based study as all the faculty here works on different projects and they select some dedicated students to work under them too.
