Review of GCEK,Bpatna

There weren't any aspects that motivated me for this course but I want learn coding, programming and want to employ it in various fields.So I chose this course. As it is affiliated to the BPUT Curriculum so all things learned here is under the curriculum of BPUT. If rate the curriculums it's good one who want to learn desperately can learn anything. Improvements may be made in the curriculum of the 1st year, there are some hectic subjects. Basically, the exams are conducted in December/ January and in the end of May. The level of the exam is easy to moderate. Sometimes some papers are though also.

There was often companies visited for the internship and placements. The companies are TPWODL which is company of TATA comes for Hiring Electrical engineering students and Qspider companies hire off campus to the CSE students. Project submitted in the jan to Feb month by the senior students.

After 6 semester students became eligible for campus placements in view of their SGPA. Often companies are visited to this college most of the placements are off campus. Avg placement is 4-5 lakh per annum.Most of the CSE,EE,and ME are placed in various companies through on campus and off campus. Highest package is 13 lakh per annum.40-45 percent students are placed in the companies. My plan after getting degree is to clear Banking or railway exam.

For a first year student fees will be 39,000. 10000 for allocation of seat and 29000 for admission.For TFW(tuition fees wavier) student it is 27000. As they are exempted from tuition fees of 12000. No lab fees, caution fees are taken. From the 2nd year onwards you have to pay 27,400 upto 4th year. There was no scholarship available in the college but there avail the all government and private scholarship in the college.For a Meritorious student, he can easily take course fees from the scholarships.

The names of the annual festivals are Awahaan,Anugoonj. The technical festivals are techfest which is typically held in February or March month of every Year. The clubs are kilobots which is the robotics club, literature club, sports club, coding club, nukkad club which is the acting club, Music club. These are the various types of clubs of our college, which entertains us in time to time. Awahaan is the sports tournament organised between the branches. The best players from the all branches are going for out college tour like NIT, Rourkela and OUTR, Bhubaneswar etc.

Room is not at good condition. There is 12 racks are provided in one room for four students. One shocket is provided to every students . There is 2 fans and 2 lights in every room. For every floor there is provided 16 toilet and 12 bathrooms. But there condition is not good. Meal quality is moderately good. Menu is also good. Registration is during the college admission. Every students are placed in the hostel. Locality is Singhjharan, Kandhabandopala, fulkodi, bhawanipatna.

I applied for VSSUT,Burla ,OUTR, Bhubaneswar and IGIT,Sarang but due to my lack of percentile bound me to admitted in this college. Admission process is through OJEE Council, By giving OJEE and JEE exams. Cutoff of this college is 6 to 7 lakh rank for Electrical engineering and 5 lakh for CSE and 8 lakh for mechanical and civil engineering.

Typically the faculty to the ratio is 8:100. The Relationship between the faculty and student is very good they are encourage the students for their goals. Their approach is good enough for a student To do something in the life. The faculty I like is Asini Kumar Baliarsingh, His calmness during the class is very good, without irritation he solve individual's problems. Another is Mihir Kumar Nath his dedication towards the education is Nice. The faculty I didn't like is AS for his scolding towards the students. There are 2 exams in between semester exam 1st internal and 2nd internal exam. These are directly came from the notes of the teachers.

Everyones favourite hangout spot is near the cafeteria. In the campus there was cafeteria named extra class, gym , library. Gym has not the useful equipment for Gym. Hostel entry Last time is 9pm which is mandatory for all year students.Out side the college there is a jagannath temple, Nearby shops. People often visited temple in the evenings.
