Remarks

For eligibility for the course, you have to complete 12th class with min. 45% and you have PCMB in 12th. You can find the application form on the JEE MAIN site. There's reservation also for socially backward classes. The admission process takes too much time it should be fast.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very vast and faculties are very supportive. I chose this course because I have previously interested in this course. In my college 1 faculty over 20 students. All the faculties are highly educated. Most of them are from respected colleges like IIT and NIT's. Our term exams are every 6months and it's pretty difficult to pass. But if one goes through every note in the classroom it would be easy.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internship from our college is to only government factories. College sends us to different government factories like NALCO, NTPC, HAL and etc for training and Internship. Projects are very simple and understandably good.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is quite disappointed but placement comes with a lower package. From the 7th sem, you can sit on placement. Tech Mahindra, Smart Recon, and many countries come as Campus to our college. The highest package from our college is 25LPA. 45-50% of students get placement. My plan is to crack civil services.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure is very good and cheap as compared to other colleges. Hike in the fees is 1-2k in this year which is quite affordable. There are various scholarships like medhabruti, state scholarship and etc. They cover your approximate whole expenses in college.

Campus Life

4

Life at the campus is very good and enjoyable. We have different functions and parties. We have Tech fest i.e INSPRANO which will be scheduled in February. Then our cultural fest i.e UDDAN which is scheduled in March and then our Annual day i.e ANUGOONJ that is scheduled in March or in April first week And throughout the year every games and sport is going on at last in February one branch of the year was decided on the basis of sports performance. There are many clubs in college like Robotics, Dramatics, Dance and Singing club and Sports club.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are quite good but the food is average. A room has 3beds 3tables 3chairs and 3 cupboards. The registration process is very simple and the hostel is very much affordable. You can take rent of Nautiguda and Bhawanipatna Market near the college.

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
