Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course which I've chosen is the best for me and the teachers over there are very helpful and knowledgeable they try to attract with the students to solve their queries. There should other curricular courses for the students to open more.

Placement Experience

3

Mostly the students get offers for the placement after the graduation is completed after that you become eligible to apply for the job.The starting salary package is yearly 70k then it goes up to 90k.After getting the degree I'll apply for an job and will pursue my digital marketing course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total year fees I paid was 7550. The total amount paid at the admission includes all the other fees too like the tuition fees, registration fees, etc. Same fee structure for all the students. Basic computer skills, basic skills in tally these r the two main financial aid for the students.

Campus Life

4

The library has all the books realated to different topics and levels. There are lots of events happening in the college in every 2 or 3 month the students enjoy the events and the vibe over there is on another level.

Admission

I got offers from other colleges but this college was the best compare to them and was near to my locality so I find it the best to study over there. The admission process is based on the percentile of the students if they have achieved 1st class then they have more chances to get admission as soon as possible.

Faculty

3

I liked the overall college surrounding the students are extroverted and have a mature personality which makes the introvert students feel more confident and explore the college environment which helps them to stay engaged with the community.there's no reason of not liking the faculty because I find it good.there r 4 exams conducted it is easy in my pov but their are lots of student which fail in the main subjects.

Night Life

2

The gym, library, campus mostly closes around 4 pm.It starts from 7 am in the morning. The night scenes are not that safe cause there are no people living near the college and the people avoid to hang out in the night.

Placement Experience:

The college told us that when you complete the 5th semester means half of 3rd year then you eligible for campus placement. I don't know any companies because college doesn't tell us which companies are coming on-campus placement. One of my 3rd year friends tells me that he got a package of 3.5 lakh per annum. The college giving placements to toppers first then to middle range students. After the degree I am going to take a banking exam and then work in bank it's my plan right now.

Smt. Mmk college of commerce and economics is an A graded college by NAAC. It has amazing faculty members teaching a subject they are an expert in. The bachelors of commerce degree is a basic graduation degree that I am pursuing and usually people opt for this while they are pursuing another professional course such as CA or CS or just haven't quite figured out what to do yet. At smt.mmk college of commerce and economics the placements that we are presented with after the completion of the degree are in association with some of the best companies in the country including aditya birla, etc. I personally opted for this course because I had no clue what I want to pursue, but here at mmk they guide you throughout your career decisions and also have various seminars based on career development, etc. Currently I am also pursuing an ACCA degree ( Association of chartered certified accountant). This was only possible with the guidance of the faculty members available at smt. Mml college of commerce and economics. Another reason as to why I opted for this college would be that it has a less need for attendance which is in most colleges around 75% but mmk grants you an attendance of only 50% which helps most of us manage two courses together or even do an internship along with the degree.

I was a student of KJ Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce. College is autonomus now and the exams paper are set by college & not university. Faculty is good. Campus is excellent. Once you leave the college, you will miss everything from lectures, 4 ways, maggi house, management canteen, IV etc. Management students do have placements in good companies. (BMS, BBI, BFM, BAF) So, in short it is a good college with decent students & faculty.

Remarks:

It is a government college so the staff can be a little lethargic. But there are a few good people too. You have to find them of course, but they are there. The office is like any other government office, but they are efficient, know their work and the work gets done. Thankfully, you only ever have to queue up once or twice a year for fees and the like, but otherwise the college functions like clock work. I had no trouble with anybody whatsoever. In face, I have eaten with one of the staff members in his home alongside (just behind the college.) Just goes to show, if you are friendly enough, they can be friendly too.
