Course Curriculum Overview

5

As I am a computer science and engineering student so my aim is to get a job in good MNC with a good package, also the students who are studying in CSE get good placements mostly. But according to our curriculum there is a big industry gap. There should be improvement in the teaching method so that we can get prepared for the interview questions and company entrance exam. When the semester starts there are no internal exams for approximately 2 months but after that we face sessionals frequently once or twice in a month and then we have to give semester exam.

Internships Opportunities

3

College doesn't provide good internship opportunities at all. Some companies reach the students through LinkedIn and social media after the efforts of students by their own. College provides an internship named Virtual Lab IIT Kanpur for developing virtual labs in collaboration with IIT Kanpur. There you will be paid around 5000 for developing a virtual lab. Some companies like multigrad and other offers roles for campus ambassador and campus manager to students. Campus ambassador also gets some amount from companies. But the overall experience says that you have to reach the companies by yourself to get the internship offers.

Placement Experience

3

The campus placements are not good from my college some students from CSE or ECE are placed in their last year. One can sit in the placement drive according to the rules given by training and placement cell of University. Sum of the companies like HCL, TCS, Byju's, Akash etc come for the placement drive also they select few students from tech field. The highest package that when two years ago was 22 Lpa in Samsung. Very less number of students get placed directly from campus. I am planning to work on my skills and contact with the companies and HRs directly to get placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for all BTech streams is common that is 85,500 per year. The lab fee, caution fee, library fees and lab fee is included in this amount. There is no fees difference for different categories. The registration fee for University is 1100 rupees for gen and OBC category and 550 for sc and st category. We can apply for up govt scholarship if the admission is through JEE aktu counseling. The scholarship for different category is different. There is no merit cum scholarship for the students.

Campus Life

4

There are several fests which occurs annually and also the fests and celebrations of respective departments which are organised by the departments theirselves. BLF is a good fest organised anually for 2-3 days. NSF is organised in month of February. Innovathon is organised twice in a year. There is a nodal centre of Vlab IIT Kanpur. DST TEC is also established here. There are more than 1.5 lacs books and journals kept in the library. All students are allowed to access them. Facilities in the classroom are well but all classrooms are not air conditioned. There is smart board in each classroom. Sports activities are organised frequently. Any one from any department can take part in sport activities. There are different clubs running in the campus. Meraki, Prayas nad Hunarbaaz are clubs running in overall campus and a Coders Hub TCH is running in our department. These clubs are working for student's welfare.

Hostel Facilities

4

Facilities in the hostel is just okay. But you can live with the amount of facilities provided anyhow. Hostel provide a tubelight and fan in the room along with two beds, two chair, two tables and two almirahs. There is no option for AC rooms. You can keep your own cooler in the room during the summers as the climate in the summer is very warm. Hostel food is not good definitely. They provide oily breakfast. Lunch and dinner is just okay but not hygienic. Three time meal is provided. With roti sabji dal salad and rice in lunch and dinner and the breakfast for each day in a week is different. But definitely I can say that hostels are affordable. Beacuse you can get it at 8,250 per semester. Only in first semester you have to pay 18,250. You can do the registration for hostel from the students portal itself in just 250 rupees of registration charge thereafter you will be alloted a room in hostel. There are rooms with two persons sharing. There are lot of hostels and PGs near the university. Many students live there in shivaji nagar and veerangna nagar.

Admission

I have given jee entrance exam in 2023 where I secured around 2 lakh rank then I fill the counselling of aktu then during that counseling I got this college. As I had to take CSE and not other branches so I considered for this college. I was getting core branches in BIET Jhansi also. I was also selected for direct admission in hitech Engineering college and sunderdeep group of institutions ghaziabad. I have also cleared VIT entrance test but did not take admission due to high fee. Because my rank was not that good so I did not get any NITs. In my college for BTech CSE and ECE you can take admission only through JEE. But in the branches like food technology biotechnology and biomedical engineering CUET scorecard is also accepted. There are also available direct admissions in lower branches like electronics and instrumentation, biomedical Sciences and mechanical engineering.

Faculty

5

There is a well faculty to student ratio. As the computer science department have 12 to 14 faculty members itself. Faculty is highly supportive and encourage students for extra curricular activities like hackathons internships boot campus etc. There are some faculties to which we cannot reach directly for academic help. Some of the faculties are highly qualified but some are not well qualified. There are two semester exams in a year. They are not too difficult and there are three sessionals and between a semester. Generally student can pass the semester exam easily but some students fail here also the chances of yearback is 1-2% only.

Night Life

3

There is a gym in campus in the sports department which opens for two hours in morning and hour in evening only and no girl goes in the gymnasium. We have an open gym in our hostel which is accessible till 10pm. There are two cafeterias in the campus. But there is no cafeteria in the girls hostel to access after evening. Girl's hostel closes at 6:30 pm in the evening. No one can go outside after the assembly. Library is accessible from 9:00am to 5:00pm. There are no hangout place in the university. You can sit in the parks for sometime with friends or you can go on the Kaimasan Devi hill for a good time with friends. You can go in the cafe's and shops for having meal and enjoy there with friends as there are a lot of shops and open cafe's near the university. The place is not safe enough for girls to roam around at late night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .
