Remarks
No bad remark. All is very good. It solely depends on the pupil.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is exactly what has made me what i am today. I am now a power plant professional with close to 10 years of experience. Basically, I think that since I went into my core field, I was much helped by the study curriculum and subject knowledge which I acquired during my study days.
Placement Experience
Placement was good, if not very good. You see those were the times of recession, and I secured a package of 4.5 LPA right after college. I also did internship in renowned NTPC. So, that's ok. In those time Infosys and TCS had organized a pool campus for all the colleges of that area. Also Indian army visited out campus.
College Events
Major event that occurred was the youth festival, which was conducted annually comprising of various competitions including debating, dance, ppt presentation etc. Technical event were held in other colleges and we were sent to take part in that. For example I visited HBTI and took part in BIZ-ZEAL a business presentation competition.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Program fee was 38200 per year, for 4 years. That grosses out to be 1,52,800 INR. This is not at all expensive. Mode of payment in those times were cash, because online payment was not in existence. College provided proper breakup of the fees and there was no ambiguity in that matter.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
No I did not apply for scholarship. Scholarship opportunity was available to the student who come from an economically weaker background, from any category. For this student need to fill up a form stating their parent's annual income and if it was less than 1 lakh they were considered for scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life was buzzing with activities all around. Gender ratio - in my class out of 57 there were 9 girls. Students thronged from various parts of the country from Delhi to Maharashtra, and from Punjab to Bihar. So diversity was abundant. All students enjoyed there time without any gender bias or ethnic bias. Religion was mixed and students were there from almost all religious groups. But tolerance was there, we never ever thought about it. Economic status was also mixed, but once in the campus, there was dress code and there was no difference between economically weaker person and economically stronger person.
Hostel Facilities
No I did not opt for hostel. I rented outside. But I have an insight about the college hostel. There was strict rule of no ragging. First year hostel was separate. Girls hostel was at a distance from boys hostel. The gate of hostel would close by 10pm. Other facilities were as normal.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are helpful. Recently on 25th Jan 2020, an Alumni meet was organized by the college, wherein we interacted and exchanged the information required by juniors and upcoming batches.
Admission
At that time UPSEE was conducted by UP technical university. UPSEE stans for UP state engineering entrance exam. Based on ranking in UPSEE applicants were called for counselling. And in this counselling we chose the institution and branch of our choice, and we were allotted in order of merit.
Faculty
Faculty was very good. The lectures were conducted by the faculty of the department, as well as guest lectures were conducted by professionals from various other fields. Tentatively we had close to 30 lectures per week in addition to labs and extra curricular activities.
