Course Curriculum Overview
This course is very relevant and can make a student industry ready after its completion. The aspect that influenced me was the coding languages that has been in this course which would be very helpful in companies during hiring and for bigger posts . The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical knowledge of all the relevant thing like python coding and other software on which that we have to work on after the completion of course. The curriculum should include some personality enhancement subjects and some interview preparation subject and the teaching method should be shift to fully computrized on the personal laptops. The frequency of exam is every 6 months and the difficult level is high but can be passd if studied good.
Internships Opportunities
IIT mandi offers internship in the college and some companies for operation and sales related positions. IIT mandi offers data science position and stipend is aroudn 15k . The stipend varied from company and post.

The companies like infosys visited our campus and the number of offer made is under 15 . There are many companies that are around the place have tie up with the college and give good stipend and salary . The highest package till today is 5 lakhs and. The average package is 2 lakh. The highest package is for software engineer and the average package is for sales operations post and other MBA specific position. The percentage of students who are getting placed is 30% on campus. The plan after completion of degree is to go for MBA but i ended up doing a diploma .

There are lot of functions and events happened in the campus like annua event and then every month there is some technical event to showcase you project presentation skill , the frehser introduction programm , the farewell programme and then some cultural events based on hindu festivals which includes dance and singing and many other things like that. The library have vast range providing with college books to the books for the preparation of exams like GATE and then there is regular magzine and GK books . The sports event organised on big like cricket league in which every branch has their own team and they participate in this event and then got the prize for it, whoever wins. I am not aware od the social group and clubs .
Admission
I chose this College as it is near my home and it's financially in my budget and the degree i will get from a known university which is good for my career . I also have applied to Chandigarh University but due to the hassle of shifting and financial burden i didn't joined there . I didn't get rejection from any of the college's that i have applied to . Nothing went wrong it's just the financial matter. The admission process of my college is based on the percentage criteria that you have got in PCM subjects in 12 th and 12th should be from science background. There is no such exam for selection , you can get admission based on the percentage it should be 60 % . The admission intake experience is very smooth and hassle free , If you have 60% marks you get the admission on that day if seat available. There are 60 seats available for each branch .
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 and the faculty to student relations are very good . Anyone can reach their teachers very easily, no need to take out special time . The faculties are very approachable. Vidya bharti mam of computer science branch is one of the best faculties to study from and she is very helpful and kind towards students . So , that's why she is the best faculty for me. There are two main exams in a year for passing two semesters that occurs 6 month apart . And the sessional exam take place two time in every semester and then there is internal viva before final practical. There is project submission in last two years . The sessional exams are easy but the final exams are difficult and the marking scheme is unknown because the paper got checked in kurukshetra University. The student who got failed is very less like 3 students in a semester in one of the subjects. The course curriculum is very relevant as per today industry and requirements.
Night Life
The gym is accessible early morning and after the class finishes. The cafeteria is not so nice but good and got the essential like cold drinks and packaged food. The library is good and very quite . Fully air conditioned and good place to study quietly. The hostel timings are till 7PM and if someone has to go outside then they have to take permission form higher authorities. The campus timings are from 9:30 to 3:30 if all the lectures has been scheduled. The famous hangout place is the canteen and stage area . Good to sit and have food with friends. The locality is very safe and there are some dhabas that are easily accessible for having food . Anyone can rome around at night as there are local village around it .
Other Applied Colleges
Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)
