Remarks

College was very good during starting years but as the time grew management became worse. other than that we had much fun studying and enjoying.

Entrance Preview

I took their NAT test and scored 88% because of which They called me for admission. I opted this college because at that time this college was affiliated with Stafford shire University, UK. (Now, It is affiliated from Kurukshetra university. They had to change the affiliation because of some govt. issues). The curriculum of this college was more practical and latest in comparison to Indian universities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My batch and my immediate juniors got to study the courses which were suggested from Staffordshire university which was awesome and practical, but others who came later had to follow Kurukshetra university's curriculum, which was not so great. So, If I had to assess my course, I would say it was 8/10.

Internships Opportunities

No, They don't provide any internship. They tried to hook us up with internshala but that didn't work. Some of my batchmates used their connections to get internship and other went to read some extra languages and technologies by joining some institutions.

Placement Experience

2.5

For my batch many companies came, some were fraud and some were cheap. Some came with great packages but they didn't bother to show up with the results. So, I can say that opportunities for us were mediocre and we mostly tried to scratch our own back and didn't stay depended up on the placement services of our college. I was selected into 5 companies but I never bothered to join them because they were mostly BPO/KPO and Non techical firms.

College Events

3.5

There were 2 major cultural festivals which our college celebrated, Dextrix and Reboot. Dextrix was annual festival like every other technical college's annual function. During this we used to call celeberity and enjoy the evening with dance and other programme. Reboot was basically a function to celebrate the happiness of graduation of seniors and also, this time college organises ICACCT which is some kind of research publishing function. Other festivals like engineer day, lohri, holi, deepawali are also celebrated here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is as follows: Semester fee - 45000/-Exam fee - 7200/-Hostel Fee - (Varies from 40000 to 65000) per Semester depending upon the facilities you choose like single / Double / Triple bedded or AC / Non-Ac etc.Mess Fee - 38000/-So, decide yourself if it is expensive or feasible. For me, It was little expensive, because It used to cost me around 180000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, there is something called leadership program. Under which if you apply and get selected, you get to go Europe for 10 months and peruse research. Every month they will pay you around 1000 Euros to live there.

Campus Life

3

Campus was very small. Our college share our campus with a school. Gender ratio during my batch was around 10:6 (Boys to girls). Diversity was good, South Indians, Biharis, Maharashtrians, punjabis all were present but till 4th year Only local and some outsider juniors came.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Far better than others, My hostel was no less than any 3 star hotel. Rooms were big, comfortable beds, almirah, table and chair and centralised AC. Every floor has their own washing machine, TV and Hall to gather. Table tennis board was also provided. Talking about food, It is better than many other hostels but there was room for more improvement. Hostel Representatives, warden and teacher used to decide the menu every 3 months.

Alumni/Alumna

It depends upon your own connections. If you have good relations with your senior, They may help you. If not, you are on your own.

Exam Structure

Very good, I say. You'll have to study the curriculum very carefully and If you have given your attention during classes you will easily pass every subject. The subjects provided were latest in comparison to Indian universities so, for some of us learning new technologies was fun.

Admission

I was browsing for the colleges in India for pursuing my engineering and I came across the APIIT's site. I found the curriculum and their hostel etc, I also found out that they organise NAT exam for admission which lead to my admission in this college.

Faculty

3

During my course, I came to know many awesome teachers like handa sir, sehgal sir, Ankur sir, Arun Sir, Geeta Mam, Vandana Mam, etc. They taught me many things which I still use in my daily life. I also met some teachers who were not so great. They just read the slide or chatted the whole year and wasted very good subjects like FCP and others. So, I can't exactly standardise the faculty performance.

Thinking Computer Science is what most people get a job offer for. Well knowing the fact that professors are good in this college at least for Computer Science department. And overall the main thing was the tuition fees they took was least compared to other colleges which I looked out for in the country.

Negative Professor and faculty members are not cooperative. Some hostels are not good, but new ones are v. Good As KURUKSHETRA is not a big city so u have to go karnal or chandigarh for fun.

Infrastructure and facilities are well maintained and can be given five stars. Teaching and curriculum still need to be updated to make every student future ready rather than a bookworm or a crammer. The coding environment is still less and needs to be improved.
