What Students Say
Likes
- The crowd is great. You won't have that "chapri" crowd at jklu. Students are very helpful.
- The ratio is great as in even in btech boys to girls ratio is 3:1. And safe campus for girls too
- Faculties if you try to seek help from them are genuinely helpful.
Dislikes
- Campus Life is very average as the college fests are very okayish. Budget is good but middle men eats a lot of money
- Powers of decision making are with only few people at the management level.
- Students don't have a great unity as they fear authorities taking away their scholarships and fining them in some way.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very important and well organised and mindfully designed for atleast btech. The subjects offered here have a variety of every field and up to date. The content of the subjects are so great that it prepares you for not only gate but for placements. Course curriculum are provided to students in the very start of the semester which helps students to learn and practice on their own. Their libraries have great books by great authors which makes it more interesting to learn. improvements I would like to suggest will be some EVS like subjects can be removed and some teachers can be more interactive and devoted to their jobs. They also have a ccct section in which each semester they teach you a subject to make you career ready in some way or the other also helping you enhance your overall personality. I would say they conduct quizzes very frequently but it is a great deal to score marks as they are typically easier.
Placement Experience
After 6sem students become eligible for campus placements. Students can be doing internships from the second semester. Also they have a PS1 programme in which student must do a internship in their 4th sem which gives one a great exposure to work culture and even with that placement cell helps each and every student to get ab internship. Good companies visit such as tcs, Deloitte, infosys, Blockchain companies, amazon etc. highest package is 36 lpa and average is 7lpa. Offcampus placements are great as well. 100% placements of students are there. My plans are to pursue mtech(gate) from some IIT or nit or go into civil services with some job in my hand
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester fees is 1,18,000 that makes yearly fees 2,36,000 excluding hostel and mess fees. They take admission fees 1000 rupees(non refundable). So basically jklu offers scholarships based on 10th-12th percentage and jee percentile (details are mentioned on jklu website and they keep on changing the criteria for scholarship each year) 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% scholarships are available. Cast wise scholarships are not there but if you are a female they add 5% to your original percentage or percentile while offering you scholarships. To mantain the scholarship you have to maintain your cgpa above 7.5 and to upgrade your scholarship your cgpa must be above 8.5 cgpa. Many financial aids are also available but for that one must talk with the management. One's scholarship can be removed in cases of Disciplinary action or unfair means. The fees keeps on increasing by 10% each year.
Campus Life
Annual festival is called Sabrang(in the month of October) it is of 3 days 3 nights and is greatly done and organised. The most eye catching of this is panache, the fashion show the ramp walk. Jklu organized it the best. Various hackathons keeps on happening. Sports festival is called muqabla (intra college) it is in the month of August September and is greatly done and is actually very much fun of all. Another sports festival is called Spardha (inter college), which is also another thing to literally look forward to. But the best festival is known as ARAMBH which is for the new students and it's for around 20 days and literally would be a lifetime of an event. The freshers is known as parichay and is literally always something freshers look forward to and it shouldn't be missed. Their library is literally the best thing of jklu and has all kinds of books ranging from novels of all genres to study materials for all subjects. Facilities are ok ok . Technology labs are just fine. Clubs are just for names except from music club. Gym is okay but provides great environment.
Admission
I applied to rvce bangalore and COEP pune, I got selected in both but I wasn't getting the branches I wanted in them though they offer that we can upgrade the branches but it is very difficult and would not be so conventional. Also my family wanted me to stay in jaipur. And I can definitely say out of all the engineering colleges in jaipur, I would prefer JKLU as manipal's reputation we all know and the people there are least interested in studies and mostly are into drugs and all also not so safe campus. Jecrc and skit has a lot of chapri crowd there and are literally very crowded. Poornima was not even on my list. So yeah in jaipur, JKLU is the best. We can say I faced rejection from bits pilani as I was getting their mesra branch and not the pilani one as my score was not so good. Rvce and coep too I wasn't able to get the grades for CSE branch there. Admission process is very easy you just have to score 60 percentile in jee or more for entering jklu and submit all your documents and must passed your 10th & 12th with 60% and above.
Faculty
Jklu once had some great great facilities but most of them have left in the recent times. Despite that the faculty to student ratio is good like even for one class they will provide you with 2 faculties for each subject and facilities here are mostly very approachable and ready to help students to their maximum capacity. Some faculties might come across as very strict during classes but when reached out they will be the sweetest ones. Mathematics faculties here are the best. Ms. Manushi, jaya gupta, umesh gupta sir are some great faculties. Mr. Kshitiz verma is the best faculty at jklu. He is someone who is always ready to help his students and guide them through life. Same goes with mrs. Renu jain, she is always approachable and with her experience she wants her students to excel in everything. Mr. Devendra bhavsar sir's knowledge is unmatched he might come across as a very rude prof but his teaching style is just fabulous. HP sir is the sweetest of all and the best mentor one can have. Some teachers I won't take the names but are very biased and might use some personal grudges while marking you. But cmmon they are everywhere. At jklu each semester there are 2 mid terms and an end term and throughout the semester they have ongoing assignments or quizzes each week which makes it easier for students to retain during the times of exams. Exams are mid level neither too hard not too easy. An average student can definitely clear them by studying for 2 days. 1 out of 15 students fail to clear the exams. Course curriculum is very relevant and up to date and literally useful and sufficient for even gate level
Night Life
Gym, cafeteria, library everything is here. In time for hostelers is 2am but the main gate closes at 10 pm . Since it is at outskirts so not much of areas for hangouts for hostelers but nevta is close by also just outside the college gate they have many thadis or cafes or eatables available.
