Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college is popular for it's curriculum for core branches and provides good placement too. It involves how to solve real life problems. However, they teach subjects of all the branches in the first year. College conducts the mid sem exam within 1.5 months of semester start and end sem exams within 3 months.

Placement Experience

5

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Almost 70% of the students gets placed every year. Companies like Vedanta, bhusan, Aditya Birla, JSW, Tata power, Maruti Suzuki, TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Capgemini etc visits the campus every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete fees for BTech course for all the branches is INR 42040 per year. The fees decreases from second year onwards. All the fees are same for all the students irrespective of category. Only TFW students get relaxation of around INR 12000. Students can get various scholarships from state government and private companies like JSW, Reliance etc based on the family's income per annum.

Campus Life

5

College organized three fests every year. Illumina for sports, technical fest samavesh, and cultural fest vasaaunt. Apart from this, many clubs organises workshops and seminars for students. Wide range of books are available in the Central library which is the largest technical library in the state. There are many technical clubs, sports clubs, and cultural clubs

Hostel Facilities

5

In first year, we get three sharing rooms with three beds, three tables, three chairs and two cupboards in each room. The rooms are well maintained and the cleaning staff are also sincere. The meal quality is also good comparing to the price we pay. We have to register for hostel at the time of admission and it's affordable compared to the other alternatives

Admission

I chose this college because of core branch faculties and it's placement. There are many PSUs and private companies near the college which boosts it's placement. To get admission in 1st year, one needs to appear for jee exam and take part in ojee counselling. Students can get admission though csab counselling too. College also allows lateral entry admission to the students who qualify ojee counselling

Faculty

4

Some faculties have old style of teaching and they teaches too slowly. But most of the faculties are approachable and solve doubts in their free times. We have to give 2 exams in each semester, mid semester exam and end semester exam. Mid sem is of 30 marks and end sem is of 50 marks. Rest 20 marks depends on your attendance, assignments, performance in class etc. End sem is comparatively more harder than mid sem exam

Night Life

5

There are gym in some of the hostels. In campus, college have one canteen and two cafeterias. Various places like samaleswari temple, gandhi minar, nehru minar are some of the famous hangout places. Apart from that the college is surrounded by hills and rivers.

Positive: A lot of exposure to the external environment. The diversity factor is high. Negative: The fees are quite high. But the things they would be providing are worth it. Lastly, a great salute to the KIIT TnP.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.
