Likes

Hostel rooms and classroom have good rooms and have well electrical equipments.
College fests are extremely good. The annual function is also good
College has good professors passed out from iit kgp and nitr mostly

Dislikes

Mess food is extremely bad as well as the washeoom
College gym is not well equipped with equipments
Even the lobbies of hostels are nasty and dirty

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is extremely good as the labs and classes are happened regularly. Timing of college is from 9- 5 pm. Total hrs is around 5hrs /day. It is a good experience to have in college. Even there is a cfc to help out

Class Size: 1000Course Fees: INR 84000 per year

Placement Experience

From 6 semester onwards students can sit for placements . But before that we can engage ourselves in internships so that we can nourish ourselves. Highest package went to 18lpa , Average package is 4.6 lpa Total offers is 80

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 1.3 lakh per year for ssc course and 48k for hostels. It has Nice infrastructure and around 12 hostels. Labs are well equipped with equipments. Hostels have sports facilities like badminton court and common hall for table tennis. Mess food is not that good as well as the washeoom.

Campus Life

College has a gymnassium, sports complex, swimming pool, cricket ground, tennis court, badminton court, clubs of chess, carrom, music, dance , coding, robust for robotics and many more . Student run social groups like code o run

Hostel Facilities

Meal quality is down to hell not good at all But far better than other colleges in odisha like odisha university of technology or outer. 4 meals for a day. Rice and chapati are extremely bad. So please be cautious about food

Hostel Fee: INR 48000 per year

Admission

I have applied to nitr, nitw, nitp, nitk, iit bbsr, iit bombay, iit kharagpur, odisha university of technology or outer and ouat college. I got rejected from these colleges as I failed in jee . But got admission to vssut

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 6:1 Padhi sir is the best teacher of all. He teaches us life lessons as well as his way of teaching is very good. Next about exams it happens for every single month. From semester exams to quiz test it happens very strictly

Night Life

Hostel timings are very strict even the guards are very strict about timing . Hostel timings is open from 5am to 6 pm . Hence we couldn't go out after 7pm. Hangout places are samleshwari temple and others

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

We specifically study about circuit analysis and electrical machines in our electrical engineering. In laboratory we study about how electrical machines work in different circuits and different connections. We also study about analog electronics circuit. We are tested in our laboratory to perform practicals. We are also given assignments and questioned well in our viva to prepare us for our future campus selections. The question paper is equally difficult to make us ready for seminars and project preparation.

An Honest Review of My college Experience

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited to our college like Tata,Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Accenture etc . Our highest package in computer science is 1200000 per annum and Average package is 500000 per annum. Percentage of students getting placement is actually varies by year and course and average 40 to 50% students get the placement offers . My plan is qualifying gate with a good rank and do my higher study mtech.

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains.
