3

Textile engineering and architechture is best here after that civil,Mechanical and ee and ece ,cse come because there is high demand of textile in punjab so the students of my college are hot placed in a good package of avg. 6Lpa.afterthat same for architechture

Internships Opportunities

No,There is not such thing. The student self search there internship program on behalf of off campus.due to last or second last is our internship/Industrial training sem. So it's must to do the training or internship as where your approach be made

Placement Experience

1

There is a poor record,This college is not calling companies in compare to other colleges ,Only for textile engineering some companies are come except textile engineering there not much scope in the college for placement ,some companies come like BYJUS it placed some students of all branches but this give a work of as like sells man.so there is not any job for core Branch of work here

College Events

4.5

There are many functions as following- 1.Tarannum (celebrated in october) 2.athletic meet (in april) 3.sanranchna(in may) only for civil engineering Branch 4.Mechfest (march) for mechanical 5.Electronica(May) for ece and ee And Fresher and farewell party held as new batch are come and seniors classes as over then respectively both are celebrated

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its expensive in comparison to other government colleges of other state. The semester fee is 46-47000 ,with hostel it goes to 53-54k around respectivelly as according to odd or even semester. The college fee is expensive

Fees and Financial Aid

Ya,There will easily loan can be taken by any nearby bank of your localitu because this is a government college ,so there is not so difficulties in processing loan ,And scholarship provided by the state's government not by college

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There is no any wifi setup in hostel,Hostel food is average not good or said to below average some time for 1st year there will 3 students stay in a single room and same for 2nd year and for 3rd and 4th year there is separate room fir every one.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes ,there is not any raging. All the seniors are very helpful and tell the things to Junior that will be helpful for the future. A very friendly environment and said to be very great bonding maintain between the senior and junior.

Exam Structure

Yes,it is best as above the Board exams of cbse. There is such very very strict rule and Very sharp eye invigilator are stand in the room that nobody can cheat even a letter of cheating. Now,Come on the point there is two sessional exam as MST-1 And MST-2 ,after that Semester exam.

Admission

I was given jee main exam in 2014 my marks was 89 and the cutoff was 105 so my ranking was not good then afterthat in last round state counselling for the state government colleges my name eas not on the list.but there is some seats were left.so i was take direct admission here

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
