Know before joining VIT AP

The course curriculum is designed by the college itself. It is designed in such a way that the subjects in current sem are connected to the subjects from previous sems which makes it easy for students to understand them easily. The tchers also explain on how to use these sbjects in real life which makes it even more easier to understand. As told earlier, exams are conducted very often , they are easy if oyu study regularly otherwise you have to struggle in One-nigt batting.

The college provides you internship. You have to do 2 projects. One summer project and a CAPSTONE project. The college guides thriugh the internship process. It helps you get an inyership in a good company. Based on your work as an intern the company decided to make you a permanent employee or rmore after internship tenure. So better do it carefully.

Placements are good. There is above 90% placement. You might get placed in a small company but yoy will get placed. The college proides placement oppurtunity based on your CGPA. You need to maintain your CGPA above 8.5. Highest package here is 1cr and average packafe is 1800000.

I got admitted in category 2 according to my PCM marks in my intermediate. My fee is 1,59,000( for first 3 years) and 1,61,000 and 1,65,000 (for fifth year). For category 1 the fee is 96,000 and for category 2 it is 1,96,000. It increases by 2k and 3k in 4th and 5th year respectively. A caution deposit of 2k(non refundable) is added to your first year fee, and there is no extra fee apart from that. College doesn't provide any scholarship apart from JVD to deserving AP students but anyhow it encourages students to apply for various private scholarship exams. The college doesn't give any concssion to minorities anr there is no abolihment of fees for any category of students. The fee is cmpletely based on the rank and category you got based on your IPE PCM percentage.

The campus life is great. There are 70 clubs and chapters and you get to choose them on your interest. The clubs give you chance to organise events, express your ideas, In clubs you get leadership skills, confidence and you lose fear in standing around eople and talk. The infrastructure and technological favilities in cooleeg are fair. Sports and cultural activities doesn't take a back seat. Everything goes smooth.

The hostels are really good. I took 4 bed ac hostel which is very spacious and comfortable to live in. You are provided with a cot, a study table and chair and a cupboard. The mess food is fine, can't complain about it. You can get a hostel once you get admitted. The college will intimate yoiu about it. If yiu are not comfortable with hostel, you have multiple PG's outside at reasonable prices.

This college is a university, it cannot be compred to normal collees. That is a reason I chose this college. This college sits above from other colleges in terms of faculty, infrastructure, oppurtunities providd, exposur you get, people you meet and many more. The admission process is very fair, you have to apply for this course in the official VIT AP websie and the college will take you furyher, you need to give your IPE exams properly to get a good branch and category 1.

Faculty is well educated, all have been graduated from IIT's and NIT's. Most of them are good at teaching, there are some who are poor but can ignore them. Exams are conducted very regualrly for every month or month and half. These exas are called COntinuous Assesment Tests(CAT) and there is Final Assessment test(FAT) which will be conducted at the end of semester. Also there will be quizzes conducted as internal marks will be awarded from these tests. Some faculty is very good, they interact very werll with us and if you want you can work under them they will guide you.

Sadly, there is no such thing called like night life in the campus. The college is still in construction and at night the work takes pace which prohibits us from experiencing the night life. The hostels close at 9pm and all the cafeteria, food styalls close by 8.30pm. There are many hangout pkaces in college you can use in day time, no one will restruct in day.
