- The infrastructure of the college is not what I expected, not bad but not good. Pretty much underwhelming
Course Curriculum Overview
Bfm course has great scope compared to other courses, the college understands this, they teach everything you need to know about the financial markets and financial system of the country. The difficulty level of exams are decent, not too hard. The curriculum prepares us greatly for the real life challenges. They celebrate various competitions and games that engage us to improve and develop our skills.
Internships Opportunities
As a fresher, I do not have much idea concerned to internship but they do provide it. They also conduct industrial visit and NSS camps for some days every year. According to the NEP 2020, the college has provided 6 months of internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall total fees is 22359/- Tution fee is 10000/- Caution fee is 150 Development fund is of 1000 Admission fee is 100 Examination fee is 2518 Industrial visit, enrollment, admission process fee and utility fees add upto 950
Campus Life
They make various competitions and games to arouse our skills and improve it. They held their inter-collegiate event named Vibrations in january, they include various physical, mental and social games in this event. By creating games like stock mock, in which they give you virtual money to invest and the highest profit maker is the winner. Physical games such as box cricket are organised for physical tests and mental games such as treasure hunt to test your logical reasoning skills.
Admission
The admission process was quite straightforward and easy. I also applied for mulund college of commerce but due to low below cutoff percentage, i wasnt able to get in it. The eligibility of the college is also great, anyone above 45% can apply. There are no preferred exams required for BFM course.
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is not much and they are not as much approached, they mind their business but they do their work great. The exam structure is a bit complex than estimated. In a semester there are, 1 internal exams (worth 20 marks) and 1 external (worth 30 marks). Usually this is the case but for important subjects the marks of external are 60 marks. Apart from this they also add Marks for attendance, class participation, presentation skills, etc. which is additional 10-20 marks.
Night Life
The gym of the college is usually closed unless taken permission to, the cafeteria is the most crowded area of the campus, with various dishes on the menu, it is a crowd favorite spot. The library is not so shockingly peaceful and it only contains books concerning the subjects the college teaches. The most popular hangout place is the cafeteria and the college ground.
