Likes

It has a park and good transport facility
It has good staff and social service people
Sports and strong cultural background for students.

Dislikes

The campus is small and has less department.
The playground is located far away and need to travel

Course Curriculum Overview

My little brother has studied earlier and has cheap fees structure which was attractive.It doesn't prepare us for real life experiences.key to improvement is new technology and good classrooms.Exams are held after every 2 months.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 9000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

During the 1st admission I paid 8000 and later in 2nd sem I paid 1000 and it consists of all colleges tution fees and all I couldn't avail any scholarship however there were Pradhan mantri scholarship.

Campus Life

The various festivals are general freshers and departmental freshers separately.there is a library but doesn't have enough books it only has course related books.sports is held during December month and there is social service and ncc national cadet corps.

Admission

I got admission at darrang college which is nearby and biswanath college which I rejected due to lack of transportation.The admission is done through merit from percentage of our 12th board Cutoff is above 40% minimum.

Faculty

For every class our college have about 5 professors and they are interactive. Finance department is very good and helpful however mathematics department doesn't clear doubts and exams are difficult mainly pass courses.The final exam is a bit easier.

Night Life

It has a college gym having fees about rs.200 monthly.It has a girl hostel but doesn't have for boys.the famous place for hanging out is agnigarh park which is famous and located nearby.it doesn't have in campus caffetaria but does have a college canteen.

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. Nothing influenced my decision to choose this course. I just wanted to choose this course for fun, to be honest. the curriculum rarely prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but whenever it does it would be very beneficial for the students. Held frequent inspections in the college so that they can improve themselves and the teaching method should be in a friendly and more comprehensive way. Gauhati Commerce College : A premier Institution for Conmerce Education with Evolving Opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, nothing specific has influenced me in the decision to choose this course that is BCOM as most of these student after passing shoes, so I also opt to BCOM. Well, the curriculum does not fully prepare the students for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They does not provide any practical knowledge or any kind of internship to the students for the real world. Well, according to me, they should provide some internship or something related to practical knowledge. This improvements are very necessary. The frequency and timing of exams is very low like within four months the university tries to complete the whole semester, and it's very hard to complete the whole syllabus within just four months.
