SRM KTR Honest Review

The course curriculum is nearly same as other engineering colleges in India. It takes a bit of reference from Anna University in Chennai. Overall it is helpful for development of the students while some subjects are just for namesake such as Yoga, etc but made compulsory by Goverment

Internships are usually less, only half of the students manage to successfully get internships. There's more preference to women during the internships. Most of the students finds internships on their own.

The college boasts a huge placement numbers. Nearly 90% of the students get placed. Median package would be around 700000 Inr. Companies visiting include TCS, Microsoft, Adobe, etcetera. If you're welcome skilled you can easily score a package of 120000 plus.

Yearly fees range from 375000 to 425000 for CSE students depending on the specialization. Exams fees are 3000 for first semester. There's no extra hidden charges. Scholarships include fee waiver for top SRMJEEE Candidates. Other scholarship are merit based, defence personnel and etcetera.

There's more than three fests throughout the year, such as MILAN Etc. the schedule for them is not fixed and usually depends on weather patterns. There college has a huge library with three floors with tons of content. Classroom facilities include digital board and projectors. There's also more than twenty student and faculty run clubs you can find.

Rooms provided depend on the type of hostel. For higher end AC hostels, the rooms have medicore space but are cleaned everyday properly. Meal quality is good but the food is not that healthy. The AC hostels are not that affordable.

Applied to some other 2-3 colleges such as Manipal, VIT, PESU but figured out some cons such as very high fees and unfavorable circumstances. Our college has an online mode of entrance exam, SRMJEEE which is held twice a year.

There's lots of faculty. Ratio would be around 1:60. Experience depends from teacher to teacher, some are very professional and know a lot about the subject while some just do bate minimum. There's four to five exams per semester with no fixed schedule and difficulty varies from easy to moderate.

The students are not allowed outside hostel dorms after 9pm. However you can stay at the library overnight. There's multiple gyms inside the campus, both free and paid. Multiple cafeterias, restaurant and park. The campus is heavily guarded so extremely safe.
