Honesty

Computer Science Engineering is a very vast course including specilisations like Aiml , Iot , It , Data science etc . I'm interested in editing , graphic designing but these things were not initially in the btech or I thought I would go for the CSE engineering and then go into masters to persue my passion. It includes many real world applications which prepare you for the tasks out there like coding , managing databases etc . I think coding should be taught with an open mind because not everyone has a coding background including me as well . After the mid terms there is a one month gap for end term exams in which they cover 2 quizzes per subject , 2 assignments per subject , lab exams , lab practical's , lab vivas and many thing which is not really feasible for us to study .

I'm not currently sure about the internship opportunities provided in our college but I'm aware that our college provides very good international internships. They've got tie ups with France , Canada and many more countries which great internship programs . There is a social club named IASTEE which even offers an international internship .

Before entering the college , everyone checks the placements , well the avg placement, when I entered the college I.e in 2023 was 9Lpa . Now , it's 2025 , it 6 or 7 LPa . Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. The companies that visit are google , micro soft , dell , vipro , tcs etc . Only selected students with high gpa are allowed to sit in the interview with companies like google , micro soft whereas tcs grab a lot of students in bulk . The highest offer given by google is 24 or 30 lpa which is given to 2 or 3 brilliant students . Average package is 6 or 7 Lpa . Out of 100% only 30-45% of students are placed well others look for off campus placement . Even I my going to persue masters after my degree .

The fees for btech in this university in the academic year 2023-2024 was 3,87,000 . The fees was same for all the specialisations under CSE like Aiml , IOt , It etc. For other branches like Chemical , It is 309000 and almost the same for biotech and mechanical as well . To grab some scholarship , you can give Manipal Enterance Exam (MET) and grab as much discount from fee based on your marks or rank . You can also get admission through your 12 th percentage or JEE main percentile . This year I.e 2024-2025 for the new freshers or new batch , the fees has been increased to some extent which I'm not exactly known to .

Campus life is kinda good , kinda fun over here . Initially the hostel rules were pretty chill and Cool but as soon the president has changed it has made those strict and less fun and less cool . The events are pretty good as like over here it's called Onerios and last year it had 3 events , 1st was a concert where Nalayak Band was featured , 2nd day , Siddhart Malhotra Came for his movie promotion and same night there was a tech dance night and last day Gajendra Verma performed , there were dance performances as well and it was really fun . It happens in the 2nd semester of the academic year . A plenty of study material is present in the library but it gets out of stock if many people go looking for it . A manual board with a white board with a screen is installed in every classroom for better understanding with virtual visions . Sports is well involved within the college life and facilities are well provided as well . A lot of social clubs like IEEE , ACM which are tech clubs , dance clubs like Choreographia , tmc music club and much more.

Hostel is very good compared to other hostels and n colleges . The rooms are pretty big and well furnished . The AC is provided tthought vent system , water quality is little bad , cleaning is done time to time , rooms come in single , double and triple occupancy . I got double occupancy which is best tbh . Hostel mess but is ok ok , compared to others it's very much better . Alright it's very overpriced as well , the fee structure of hostel room is 1,98,000 per year and mess fee is 70000 per year , so it's anyways not very affordable.

My cousin sister applied for this college in 2016 and at that time this college was at it's peak placement performance , so I was recommended this college . I also applied for benett university, Chandigarh university, amity university, Lpu . I got admission offer letter from Chandigarh university and Bennett university as well , but I still chose this one due to many reasons but main was it's reputation. I wanted to go into an NIT but my rank was just not enough to join it so I couldn't get into it . The admission process , is that you have to fill the registration form , and fill all the details out and you can get admission through your 12th marks , jee main percentile or Manipal Entering exam which while offer you some scholarships as well .

Mostly faculty are just non supportive and careless about the way they teach but some are really good , they'll help you out to the bottom and will also personally meet you in case you've got any doubt . My best teacher would be Dr Sanchit Anand , he was in my 2nd sem and taught me EMM ( Engineering materials and mechanics) and of course I scored most in that subject . Many faculties were there who were just naturally triggered and angry all the time and didn't explain a thing or two and would ask like it's do or die . Every semester there are two papers one mid sem and one end sem and quizzes and assignments happen in between along with vivas and lab exams . Out Of 100% , i think about 15-18% fail an exam on an average.

No such late night activities , the hostel gets shut off at 11 and you can't get out or in after 9 pm . The college is in a rural place because they got a lot of property for cheap , no night life around the college over here . Gyms and lot of outlets are opened , so No need to worry about that . Currently only one gym is present but another one is opening. In hostel many outlets are there for students and even in College there are many outlets and cafés opened . Tbh , the local people around here are not that good , so I won't recommend small 1st years to roam here and there at night .
