Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum lays a strong foundation needed for the career. The curriculum prepares you well for the career and for further studies. Semester exams take place every 6 months. The syllabus vastness and difficulty level is subjective. I found the frequency of exams not difficult to manage.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many internship opportunities from advocate offices were provided. Internship in DLSA was mandatory and students were made to undergo that. I got a great internship opportunity from college which helped me enhance my experience and understanding of the course.

Placement Experience

4

There were opportunities given to students from several companies as well as advocate offices. Internship opportunities were also provided. The package was decent. Many students got great internship opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees I payed every year was fifty thousand rupees. I've come to hear that now the course fees has increased. The exam fees is 1400/- . Scholarships are available for certain categories. Students who have scored very good marks in puc were given fees consission.

Campus Life

4

The college doesn't have a big campus but it has a calming presence. Annual day and sports day events are conducted annually. Ganesha festival is a big celebration. There were many clubs like the anti ragging and grievance redressal club, placement clubs and so on. The college has a great library.

Admission

The eligibility for this course is minimum of 50% in puc. No entrance exams. The admission process is simple. An application has to be taken by paying the amount specified for it. I payed 500 rupees. The form must be filled and necessary documents are to be attached and fees must be payed.

Faculty

4

The faculty is good and insightful. They are approachable and very helpful. I've found the experience and insights of faculty inspiring and has helped me with completion of my course. Per semester upto 5th semester there are 5 subjects per semester and 4 subjects per semester from the 6th semester. The subjects are easy to moderate. Only few subjects need a little more attention to understand. There are 4 practical subjects which are really intresting and fun to do.

Night Life

1

The college doesn't have a hostel but there are many PG around the campus for students. There are malls and many eat outs around the campus. The college is near to the courts also for Students doing internships.

Placement Experience:

The placements of Christ University Bangalore, are pretty decent. Students are eligible to get placements for the 9th semester, and there are a lot of companies that come for campus placements like Shardul Amrchnad Mangaldas and Cyril Amrchand Mangaldas, Khaitan, Puviyah and co., Trilegal and etc. The highest placement that went last year was 23 lakh, and the average placement is 6-7 lakhs. My plan is to do litigation after getting a degree.

It's the law firms like Wadia Gandhy, Dsk Legal, Trilegal and others. Some merchant bankers too are now a part of our placements thing and this is where it is getting interested as we are getting to explore new opportunities. Pay as of now is around 4-5 LPA but I hope it increases to atleast 10 by 2030.

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Mostly it's the law firms like Indus Law, Globus, PICT and others. The payment scale therefore is less when it is compared with NLSIU or other NLUs. Some private companies like the UB Group and ITC amoung other others are also coming to hire students who have chosen corporate law as their main electives.
