Remarks

Sn medical college is a heritage. It is one of the oldest college in India. It's Infrastructure needs some dusting and brushing. Academically it is better then most of the colleges. Food is a big concern in Hostel, labs need some new equipments. But the staff is most friendly here and seniors are very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS is a very hectic course. Especially in SNMC where it is even harder because if the conditions. Fans are barely working and clean water is a myth for many. But the infrastructure is changing with a very high pace. But the university still needs to conduct it's exam on time.

Placement Experience

3

Every MBBS student has to complete it's One year internship in Undergraduate college only. In that one year undergraduate is rotated in different departments for different time periods. A stipend of 7.5 K is given to every student for it's internship every month.

College Events

3.5

There are various events which are celbrated in SN medical college. 1- Doctor's day- it is a one day event. 2- Teachers day- it is a one day event. 3- Flames (our annual fest)- It is 7 day event with fun activities, cultural event and a DJ night. 4- Sports fest (3-6 days before flames). 5- Alumini meet.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is quite feasible for a student to study in a medical college as compared to a engineering student. It is 24 thousand per year for a general category student to study in SN medical college. And 15 thousand for a reserve category student per year in SN medical college.

Fees and Financial Aid

In SN medical college the fee structure is 24 thousand for general category students oer year and 15 thousand for reserve category student per year. Since the fee structure is low one may not need any scholarships. But government still provide scholarship to students who's parents have low financial status.

Campus Life

2

There is a sports week happens every year for all students in December. We are encouraged to take part in various activities such as poster making, rangoli making, chart making, dance activities etc. There is this one event in which we are encouraged to clean one of a department.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Yes i have opted for hostel. Hostel infrastructure is just enough to accommodate us. Bathrooms are often dysfunctional. Food sometimes is equivalent to garbage. There is just water and loads of salt in Dal and probably no paneer in Matar paneer. And You can Use chapatis as Frisbees.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are best the best thing in any medical college. Sn medical college is no exception. Every senior is like a elder brother/sister to a junior. Every junior is treated with love and respect. No senior refrain themselves from helping a junior in need, be it books, food or just emotional support.

Admission

You have to clear NEET(national eligibility entrance test)-UG(under graduate) to get into SN medical college. You can get in by either All India Quota or State Quota. Both counselling are held on online platform. You have to have 10th+ 12th marksheet, NEET admit card and adhar card. There is reservation of some seats for reserved categories.

Faculty

4

Most if the faculty is good. But they're not provided with proper materials to work with which makes it hard for them to perform well. Some of them put their own money to make things good for the students. Whereas there are still some faculty members who don't give a darn about students. Some faculty members take even a slightest words of a student on their ego and make their agenda to destroy each and every second of their presences in this College. You just have to deal with everyone accordingly.

I was fascinated by the human body so I opt for this course. There are several faculties available per subject 6-7 faculties are available & several students are 150 which are divided into batches of 50 each. The teaching method is nice & understandable their approach is very practical. There are exams in the duration of every 2-3 months & you've to attain 50% in each theory & practical to pass.

Since its a medical college and I am still a part of it, there is no companies visiting. After MBBS , students apply for PG exams and government service. Some prepare for IAS as well. Generally the selection immediately after passing out is 1 or 2 so most of people go away to take coaching for PG exams . Also some may join as demonstrator in the same college . The package provided during PG is variable depending in the college you are selected and course you get.
