Remarks

50% positive and 50% negative. College structure is good. Building are also look good but study is expensive and is little far from main city. But nowdays all colleges are far form cities. You must go for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Exam structure is very nice. They conduct monthly exams, Three times pre test, assessment tests which prepare the students for final exams. Classes and exams runs with 60:40 ratio. CT college do not appoint special teachers for specific subjects. Like in my course, in 4th semseter there was a Fuel emission subject. But the college passed away this subject by workshop teacher, they are appointed specific teacher for specific subject

Placement Experience

2

Yes the special placement drive department is sucessfully established by the college. They help the students for internships too. And for job placements too. The big companies also arrive in the college but only for Electrical and Computer engineers. Management courses too. Special drive for jobs in Indian Navy is also arranged there every year.

College Events

4.5

1) Annual function 2) Number of celebrities arrive there fot there movie promotion 3) MIST (Managing innovation in Science and Technology) 4) Big MNC comapnies CEO's arrive there to teach the students. 5) The special Chefs arrive there for Hotel Management students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible only if you got scholarship. Otherwise my expenses were 1) Semenster fee about 45000 2) PDP classes 2000 per semster 3) Uniform - 8000 One time 4) Travel or College bus - 9000 per semester 5) Projects and other assignmets too. 6) Minot and major project expenses

Fees and Financial Aid

CT college will provide to you on the basis of merit list is conditional. If you score below 75% or 85% in any semester, then from that semster your scholarship will no longer maintained by college. But if you take admission by PTU entrance test and get scholarship, then the same % of scholarship will remain in whole 4 years of course even if you score less tham 30%.

Campus Life

5

Labs and sports facility is also available. Better coaches and sports material is avaialble. Matchez are also fixed with other colleges and they visit there. Labs for the physics project, chemistry projects available with ample area. And mechanical workshops with all machinery is avaialble. Special staff is available for whole workshops

Hostel Facilities

4

NA. But hostel facilities are very nice. Food sometimes is very good. But sometine not nice. They pay attention of hygiene but studenta dont like that. Girls amd boys hostel are separate. AC rooms are available.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and old students are helpful for freshers. ALUMNI take care of all and promotes their study or understanding by use of projectors and laptops. Mobile are not allowed in classrooms or do not use during lecture. They are very hard for this. Alumni dont allow anyone to go out from college during college study time.

Admission

I got admission based on the merit list of my 12th standard. The provides the scholarship based on percentage. 100% scholarship to those who obtained above 85% marks. 75% to those who scored above 75% marks.Schedule caste concessions are also available. But i suggest to all to get admission in this college by scoring high marks in PTU university entrance exam. (CT college runs engineering courses under PTU University. ) Because the scholarship tje CT college will provide to you on the basis of merit list is conditional. If you score below 75% or 85% in any semester, then from that semster your scholarship will no longer maintained by college. But if you take admission by PTU entrance test and get scholarship, then the same % of scholarship will remain in whole 4 years of course even if you score less tham 30%.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is well and good. But with the new teachers in 1st year the college is not performing well. New fresh teachers are not experienced and dont understand the students problems. But after 1st year, teachers are experienced and well trained. They solve all problems and doubts without any consent of students. The way of tecahing is best. And teachers sometime allow to bunk the classes

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
