Course Curriculum Overview

1

* The crouse I chose was different to me and the subjects are fine with the 1st year as it has pu subjects related. * curriculam doesn't prepare much for the real-world. study our own and write the exmas * NO proper notes provided, students must study in pdf modules rather than the notes * There is a lot to improved in course curriculam and in teaching methods. * Teaching meathods should be changed and be easily taught and understandable for students. * exams are way frequent and we students cannot manage all at a time including assingments and lab exms. * There is a lot to be improved in curriculum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am studying engeneering in vvit college through government seat which is KCET * I am currently in first year year wise fess: 1st year - 123000 (fee may vary high or low not approximate for the below mentioned years) 2nd year - 125000 3rd year- 127000 4th year- 130000 or 135000 * college bus fee yearly - 24000 (currently paying ) (increases 2000 - 4000 yearly ) the total fee for a year including all the tution fess , canteen fee, lab fee, admission fee, registration and caution fee - 130000 * fee for batchmates varies according to courses taken ( management seat) ex : cs(computer science )-400000 per year other courses like mechanical , civil, information and science , cyber security - 3-400000 * Hostel fee : 60-70000 * scholarship (ssp) for both government seat and management seat but high preferrence for government seat students * ssp scholarship amount around - 18-20000 ( not sure )

Campus Life

1

We had only one event which is ethnic day so called freshers day but it wasn't that good and till now we didn't had any annual and tachnical festivals. * We haven't seen our library yet because of our own HOD he did't allow us to go library in library period * there is no proper wifi network available in college and in class rooms. no much technical provosions available. * There is no sports and extracurricular activites offered to us. but we have for namesake * There is no student-run social group, clubs, or student portals, including their impact on student life

Admission

I didn't choose this college but the government has given me the college * I wrote my KCET and got this college in KCET which i could not resist. * Starting I thought this college would be good but coming to this colleges proves me wrong and disspoints me to be in this college * I had thought to do other course than engeneering and wanted to go jyoti nivas college , christ universites like top colleges in banglore but i got seat in KCET and got this college but the course which i got made me to choose this college, I got AI-ML course in this college, I got the course I wanted till then i was happy and exciting but after visiting the college I was dissappointed * I didn't apply for other colleges because I wanted a government seat for the course i wanted and I had no choice over other colleges beacause i already got in vvit which is government seat. * I didn't get rejections in any colleges beacause i didn't apply for any. * Admission process for my college is through KCET or JEE and management seat available My overall admission processes was very painful and now I think that i should have selected a better college than this and I still regret that i chose this college but in the end not everything is our hands.

Faculty

2

*The faculty are less compared to students and other engeneering colleges, for as 1st year student the faculty are good and the relationship betweeen teacher and student are expect with the HOD's * one teacher whom I like is radha mam department of maths, she is supportive and understandable can understand her subject easily and gives life lesson and motivates us * many teacher are there whom I personally don't like them according do their subject and their relationship with students. * There are 2 internal exam conducted by college and then the final semister exams conducted by vtu , the paper prepared by the college is not proper and very difficult to write. * We have no time to study for the exmas due to assingments submissions at the same time we have lab exams which the students cannot manage both * The exam conducting and the time table preparing is not appreciated and very dissapointed with the time table.

Night Life

1

There is no such nightlife in or around college campus, and no hangout spots or other restraunts cafeteria around college. students unwind after a day of classes to canteen or home. gym are available in hostels so the students in hostel have acesss for gym

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
