College life at National Sports University

Curriculam is prepared by the university is appropriate and well managed according to semesters ( Theory classes and Physical Classes) B.sc sports coaching course is for those who wants to pursue their career in sports coaching and sports science. Every semesters there are exams and every months there are tests,Difficulty level of exams are moderate.

I got opportunity in 7th semester of internship at RCC Ground, Ministry of youth affairs and sports of manipur, govt of manipur as Coach without Pay for about 8 weeks. My role was to give coaching to beigners players of weightlifting and as well as some elite players, to assist head and cheif coach and maitain performance records of players.

In 8th semester , student is eligible for placement. There are placement cells at our university website, and we have whatsapp groups regarding placement notifications Maximum no. of my batchmates got job in public sectors and private sectors. and rest of batchmates opted for higher studies. After completing my degree, I got job in Directorate of education(sports branch), govt. of Nct delhi. as assistant coach. I got package of 7 LPA.

Here is the fee structure yearly (2 semester fees). There are many festivals which we celebrate in our university like Foudation day, Onam, Teachers day, sangai festival, cultural festival, freshers party, farewell party,etc. All the Books and Journals related to sports , sports science are easily available in the library, we can easily issue these materials by using library card. All classrooms have Audio visual learning system, smart boards,projectors. Every month , there are intramurals competition between the Four houses. There are some groups like literary society, Cultural Scociety.

In one room , 2 students have to live. there is proper lights and fans (no need of Ac becuase of cool weather of manipur) every student will get its bed, table,chair, small almirah, cloth hanger, you will get veg and non veg in mess, some day its not tasty and some days its tasty (depends on the Day). Every student have to reside in Hostels only , it is mandatory for all.

I did not applied to any other college because this college is the best in sports studies and it is the central university under ministry of youth affairs and sports , govt of india. For addmision eligibility criteria includes , you should 12th pass with minimum 50%, you should participated in any national level competition in your specific sports. and after that you have to clear Written test, physical test, sports proffeciency test, interview. and after these tests , merit list will be published.

30:1 is approx Ratio of faculty to student. Many of the faculties relationship is very nice and comfortable. we can easily approach to faculty. Among all Dr. Shyam sundar rath sir is the best and favourate faculty of all students. Every semester , there are exams (practicals , viva and theory written test.)

There are Gym and other sports facilities which are open till 7 or 8 pm. Nobody is allowed to come out of hostels after 8pm without permission of warden. Main gate of campus is open till 8 pm There are many hangout places outside the campus like restraunts, Food courts, Malls etc.
