Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum teaches mainly about when we approaching a theory, how did they end up in that theory teaching with a history. The books available for curriculum is less .The curriculum about thermal physics and quantum mechanics was superb explaining the derivation part very understandable. The frequency of tests conducted is very lazy pointing out about class tests .Internal exams and semester exams are conducted based on calendar based dates . Exam difficult is always ranges from moderate to high. The curriculum contain lack of the application subject in-depth which creates why did we studied this subject. The general structure of subjects are making students unable to decide in which field they should their Masters.Normally the class starts in June 19.Each semester contain around 5 months .In the 2 and half of the month there should interal exam named CiA 1 and before the two or one week before the semester CiA 2 is conducted.Internal exam questions are mainly asked form class notes.Semester questions are more ike to be application level questions containing single mark question for 20 marks which is testing the in-depth knowledge of subjects.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities is not offered by our college so far.During our fifth semester we have a period called internship from December 18 to January 18.Students have to find the companies in their hardwork and the companies should be near 15 km vicinity to the collage. Companies providing stipend is not happening always it is a rare event. But internship period should not exceed the respective dates.we can works as assistant designer in the robotics ,web development, electronic equipment development as so on because of general nature nature of the physics subject. After the internship period we have to submit an report ranging 10 to 15 pages. We will undergo through a interview panel system, they will decide marks for the internship as subject in our students portal, considering our ability to answer and explain the outcome we learned in the internship period and the explanation in the submitted report. Projects ranging from web page, data managing telescope making , robotics makings etc.where project as to submitted during evaluation of intership. Daily attendance is marked with a attendence sheet supplied from respective departments. For inspections one staff in charge will check respective internship area of students for the check their activities and participation.

Placement Experience

1

In the fifth semester onwards from our department the campus placement begins.Mostly the companies are form tech based or business based, which is kinda feel unlucky for physics students because of their weak relation with their respective subject. Dominos mainly approach the department for placement. Only 7% of students get the placement.and most of the package are around 4 lacks per annum. I am not looking for the placement options after my undergraduation I will pursue master in physics. At my current state I am thinking about entering to teaching field or research field

Fees and Financial Aid

For first sem in the B.S.C we have to pay around between 10,000 to 15,000.we have to pay for the exam fees around 1050,with including the lab fees. For fees reduction we can approach Jesuit Management with proper documents showing the family year income and SC,ST certificates. In second sem we have to pay between 9000 to 10000 . Basically for the second shift our course fees structure is similar, which is contradictory to other department fees structure. Scolarships details are updated through every semester ,considering the family year income. In second year first sem we have to pay nearly 10000 and the exam fees around should be 1050 considering the number of subjects, each 50 for them.In that sem we get non major elective subjects,we can study a subjects from other department. For non-tamil students they should study basic Tamil as their non major elective subjects. In second year second sem we have to pay around 10,000 and exam fees is around 1000.we can have a option to select a one major optional subject between 2 subject. The non-tamil students should study basic Tamil as their non major elective in this semester also. In third year , first semester we have to around 10,000 Exam fees around 1100.we have to attend two labs. One electronic labs and general lab.we only have to study major papers. Quantum mechanics, optics etc ) In last sem ,we only have to study 2 subjects,2 labs similar to previous semester, python lab ,and a workshop.we have to attend a internship program for one month which is considered as a subject in this semester. The course structure is similar and exam fees is around 1000

Campus Life

In end of the September in the odd sem ,intra department event named Ovations occurs for 2 students.Students from outside collage is prohibited.Various important peoples from film industry, music industry are called as guests.Example.for this year Ovations celebration Jayan ravi was called as the chief guest in the first. For second day the valedictory, director Atlee as called. The Ovations set up is based in very high budget.Program starts in morning 10 Am and ends at 4:30 pm at evening. In second day only the program time extends to 6:00 pm arround . The library has two floors, Ground floor contain vast book collection for different field and we can only them for 15 days in our hand. There are 5 computers to check the availability of books and their location. In the first floor we have old copies of the books from ground floor. We can take the old copies of the books in hand for 6 months.we also have a digital library in the left side of first floor with 10 computers. The college provide active participation in sports both intra and inter department matches in ranging through whole academic section. In our college we can join in NCC by submiting our certificates and decide to join military, air or navy wing . We have to option to join in NSS also. In the second semester we have to join in one club as compulsory we can select it from our students portal. We have projecter and sound system in each classroom providing white boards. Each department as a separate halls for conducting programs and official program such as conferences. Students portal is easy to use we can get live data about attendence details whether the professor has missed marking present or not.We can pay fees through students portal easily.Leave form application is also simple printed form students portal

Admission

I got admission from Mar ivanious collage , situated at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala which one of the best colleges in Kerala. I got admission in Mysore Amrita college in triple degree for physics, mathematics, chemistry. I got admission from Kristu Jayanti in banglore for double degree in computer science and physics. Loyola standed 4 th ranking in all india ranking level with A++ Nac accreditation and having long history from 1924. I applied through their site have to type the +2 marks their site automatically calculated the percentage.I had to only pay 150 for the application at the end.The application was mainly merit based on the marks there was no exams for the application.Students having 85% in the +2 will definitely get the admission. After two weeks the confirmation mail has been sended and two days before that for the admission confirmation some staffs will call you informing about the admission. After getting admission email we can pay the semester fees of the first sem and get admitted to the college with a student login called ERP.From where the attendence details ,exam mark details, hall ticket update, leave application form everything is operated on that platform.Admission process was very smooth.Only the admission process of hostel was kinda annoying.

I liked Dr.Arul Mozhi .S mam from the first sem , because she is approachable. She was the class teacher of that year. She conducted extra classes after the college for clearing the students doubts and conducted exam after teaching that particular question. In last five minutes of her period she allowed students to having breakfast in the canteen. I disliked Dr.S.Little joice mam.She teached us mathematics, her knowledge about the subject is brilliant but her approach to students was terrible, treated like army subordinates for her speaking rudely is normal. In second year I liked Pugazhendhi sur I liked Dr. Pugazhendhi sir in the second year,he approches students in a different way than normal professor's.He showed how to study a subject with use of technology and had interracting section with we can talk about the doubt other fields of physics. He focused on a holistic approach. I disliked Dr.ajit walter for is aggressive way of talking methods showing similar to revenge.when ever students starts talking he skips that part of subjects not teaching anymore. First semester mathematics is kinda hard, around 70% manages to pass the exam Second sem the chemistry is kinda hard , around 80% can pass the exam with most having the around half marks In third sem, electronic 1 paper is very hard evryone can manage with minimum marks but scoring more than 70% is very good achievement. In fourth sem, electricity and magnetism paper is very hard only but we can manage to pass . In fifth semester,we have Quantum mechanics it is very hard subject where 60-70% can only manage. In sixth semester we have solid state physics, which is a very boring and hard subject due to its relation between chemistry background.Mostly 60% able to get pass

College has gym facility near to the engineering building. With a atm near to it.Collage has strong security surveillance for maintaining discipline. One big cafeteria is situated near to back side of Library with seating capacity. It looks similar to Kora food Street .Food is served in a self service method.Another cafeteria is situated to engineering building which is smaller than previous one mentioned.Rates are affordable. Another cafeteria is situated in the back side of MBA building of Loyola (Liba building) which has very good seating facility and price of foods manageable. Hostel Life is enjoyable at 8:30 Pm all boys should be in their rooms for study hour till 10;30.In the weekend there is no study hour.we can have extra time,we should be in our respective rooms around 10 Pm.Morning 7 to 8 brekfast is served .At noon 1 to 2 and night 7 to 8 .There three messes.Veg mess, metro mess and non veg mess.In metro mess ,we have noodles and chicken 65 in some days.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is vast. But dental also deals with practical skills. So it's not that hard. The exams can be hard if you prepare at the last minute. But otherwise it's manageable. We write 3 IA and one final paper. And we get to write a mock paper before the finals. We'll be having model practical exams as well before the final practical exam.

The infrastructure of the college campus is very good and peaceful as well. My college has a vast library which works from 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m on all working days and study holidays. Here if a student wants to borrow any other books other than his/her course, they need to seek prior permission of the Principal to get them books.
