The Curriculum is student friendly Curriculum prepares the best future doctors The curriculum is all in a hurry to end The professional year system is not good as we students want to study so many ,For example; For a second professional year student he has to study the subjects which is already on the second year + 3rd year subjects like Swasthavritta and Agada Tantra. It brings a lot more pressure to students.The teachers are in a hurry burry to cover the syllabus.Students could not get the chance to study for themselves. They are only studying for the upcoming periodical test.We students do not get enough time to rest.

Internships Opportunities

The companies are AVP I think the roles offered are Regional Medical Officer RMO The stipend we get are 400000 per annum The projects are Clinical Trials Market Research on Medicines Otcomes We get Clinical skills Connections with professional Internship duration is 1 year 8 months in the college 2 months rural

Placement Experience

After Completing the Internship students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are Kottakkal and Arya Vaidyasala The highest paid is 400000 per annum The percentage of students getting placements is 100 percent My plans after getting the degree is to Complete my pg and Become a pediatrician and Teach students

Campus Life

Onam celebration in September Annual fest held on October Christmas celebrations in December I think there is almost 1000 books available in the library The classroom is a smart classroom.It do have a projector. There is a Football Team in the campus and they are going for inter college matches And there is also a Throwball team. The sports activities are less on our college but they are always supporting to go for intercollege matches The teachers are always supportive to students to go for Seminar In our college Yearly There is Aaranyakam Where we students get to know about the drugs. It is a type of group study I think.The Teachers from various colleges come to our college and we go to nearby places and those teachers discuss about various plants we find infront of our eyes

Hostel Facilities

The room has Chair,Table and Cupboard,Alamara For Boys Each room has a Toilet Girls has a typical hostel like rooms The meal quality is not good but adjustable There is not extra registration for Hostel when we take admission for course we are asked that if we want to stay in hostel or not. The locality is vavanoor if you rented a room

Admission

I chose this college over other because this college focuses on clinical Knowledge Here we students get to see so many cases.While in other colleges there are only one or two cases. The admission process is through NEET.Those whi qualifies neet and who has passed +2 is eligible. The cut off in the previous year was 700 for general 113 for OBC 105 for SC/ST

Faculty

The faculty student ratio is 1:10 The faculties are always supporting, motivating. The no.of faculties disliked is almost zero. Although some faculties have their own flaws they diminish that flows by being a teacher with a positive attitude

Night Life

There is no gym in the college. There is a cafeteria in the College which provides us with a veg and egg items only as Non veg foods is prohibited in our college Cafeteria opens by 9.00 am and Closes by 7.00 pm Library opens at 8.00 am and Closes at 6.00 pm Hostel timings; Breakfast: 7.30 - 10.00 am Lunch:12.30 - 2.00 Pm Tea: 3.30 - 5.30 Pm Dinner:7.00 - 9.00 pm Campus starts at 8.00 am Closes at 6.00 pm The hangout places outside college is Nilamboor Park The locality is not safe to roam around at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ayurveda is also very important part of medical field. It brings a lot of treatment aspects and life style betterment. There are practical significance of all the knowledge into life. Hospitals here is very much well equipped and doctors are skillful so it's very good platform for learning to treat the disease and at the same time learning for prevention of disease. Some of the portions should be re evaluate. They should not make shloka compulsory and eliminate some old theories which are not going to accept. Should combined with modern medicine and teach a hybrid model or Intregate course.

The latest course curriculum is good as they provide 20 MCQ in every 100 mark paper,so it had become much easy for students to pass the exam. The sloka is mandatory in exams which is a drawback that finds too much time consumption to students and the Sanskrit language is also very difficult. I got admission in this college through entrance examination CEE conducted by Kerala government. After that merit list is prepared. To be eligible for this one should at least 50% in biology and 50% in all three, Physics, chemistry and biology together. And must have completed 17 years of age.
