Course Curriculum Overview

4

I think course curriculum was good and matched to the foundation knowledge we required for out course. But what we felt was more practical knowledge was needed everything was so bookish and we lack practice, as a computer science student we needed more coding classes by professionals. So if they are going to improve this would be my suggestion to include more practical knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

5

So I got an good experience in IIMT University I got one opportunity to work with a startup company where I worked as an SEO intern in starting with 5000 as a stipend and after that became full-time employee. Also in my final year I made a major project which was a mobile application for students.

Placement Experience

4

So placements are good in IIMT University many small and big companies visit for on campus hiring and all the students are eligible to sit in the placement. For every department they call the companies and it's totally depends on the students if they going to crack the interview or not. IIMT also provide aptitude classes and personality development classes as a part of their curriculum for placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

So in my first year I paid around 1 lakh and 30 thousand tution fee which included all the charges plus security fee. In second year onwards I paid 88,000 till fourth year. I applied for scholarship also and got my scholarship in 3rd and 4th year which was around 70,000 per year as I belonged to sc category. Rest of my classmate got 54,000 , the scholarship was not only decided my categories they also get decided by your allover performance at college like attendance and percentage, so my experience was good as I was one of the top student from my batch.

Campus Life

5

I must say campus life was awesome i really had fun and got some good friends, evening walk time is what I really miss because it's the most beautiful and peaceful time to walk around the campus with your friends. We had clubs , games, garden areas to have fun.

Hostel Facilities

5

For the first 3 years I used to live in IIMT's girls hostel in 4th year I got shifted in a pg near my college. Hostel food was good and room were clean and hygiene. In pg I used to do all my chores by myself so it was also comfortable and good.

Admission

I chose IIMT University because I got selected for this college by UPTU exam I got admission via counselling. The reason I didn't opt for other college because IIMT was much easy to travel and my family also liked the security they provide. IIMT has direct and via exam admission process as well, most of the students they came directly for admission. My experience was good and easy it took 1 day only for all the paperwork and next step was to shift their in hostel.

Faculty

5

Faculty was around 2 teachers for every 60 students. To be honest my relationship with every faculty was good and friendly, I was the bright student and favourite of all teachers. I liked every teacher of mine they were soo humble and helpful to everyone.

Night Life

5

Nightlife is the must to have in college IIMT allows students to enter the main gate lastly by 7pm for girls and 8pm for boys for safety reasons only. We have gym, cafeteria where we can enjoy and have some real fun closing time for gym is around 9pm and for cafeteria is around 8pm.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good enough for those who did well in academics and skills, they mostly provide the developer job with some specialization jobs. The placement cell management is very messy so it's very complicated process. And also it's depends on the market conditions also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I always wanted to be an Engineer. And had a keen interest in programming languages. It always fascinated me that we can write code and make the computer work the way we desire. This has endless possibilities for application. Since I am from the CSE department. I would say in the Batch 2015-19 around 180 student were there divided into 4 sub sections. As It would not be possible to manage the number at once. So for each subject there are dedicated faculties which belongs to the department but there are certain subjects which were common to other department so other department teachers also used to teach CSE students. Most of the teachers had qualifications as Master of their subjects. Tech qualified. Only a few of the teachers were Ph.D. qualified. The teaching method of the First & second-year faculties was very good. They focus on leaning of students but in the third and fourth years teaching faculties don't pay that much attention to the student. Students have to rely mostly on self-studies.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students get eligible for the placements. Many companies visit the college including PalaoAlto, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, HCL, and many others. The highest package offered this year was about 11 lakhs and the average is 4lakh. Nearly 60% of students get placed. I plan to have a decent campus placement after completing my course with the guidance of faculties and then learn further and switch companies as per my learnings.
