Course Curriculum Overview

4

-The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program is a highly sought-after degree that prepares students for a career in medicine. A key aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is its emphasis on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. The inclusion of subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology provides a strong foundation for understanding the human body and its functions. Furthermore, the clinical rotations and internships allow students to interact directly with patients, giving invaluable hands-on experience. The curriculum is well-structured to equip students for real-world medical practice and further academic pursuits. Clinical postings in hospitals and exposure to different medical specialties enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills. The focus on research methodology also lays the groundwork for those interested in pursuing postgraduate studies or contributing to medical advancements. However, there are areas where the MBBS curriculum could improve. For instance, introducing more interactive teaching methods, such as case-based discussions and simulation labs, would better prepare students for complex clinical scenarios. Additionally, integrating modules on soft skills, such as communication and empathy, could enhance patient care. Exams are frequent, usually held at the end of each semester, with assessments ranging from theory papers to practical exams. While challenging, they are crucial for assessing a student’s knowledge and clinical aptitude. However, spreading out exams and providing more time for preparation could reduce stress and improve performance, ensuring a better learning experience overall. Cons are course length and also the difficulty level.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are not companies for internship but the internship is offered by the college itself the pay off for 1 yr internship is 26k per month this is the highest among most of the medical Colleges in India.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees - rs 5856 for complete 5.5 years including tution and hostel fees . It is same for all categories. Hostel fees - rs 130/day and rs 10500 caution money. Scholarship -80000rs in total for students of reserved category only

Campus Life

4

1 The annual fest is named as Helix. 2 The books and journals at library are generally oriented to medical sciences but some other genre are also available. 3 The class rooms are all advances with screens projectiors and cameras fo recording which are uploaded on college website. 4 Annual sports fest is josh as the college is in developing phase the sports is somehow neglected but they are trying there best. 5 We have many YouTubers from over college having mor than 10 lac subscribers in total.

Admission

1- I applied for MGMMC INDORE but I resigned paying 2 lacs penalty. As the college infrastructure and academics is very poor as compared to AIIMS Deoghar. 2 I never got rejected even I rejected some of the colleges. 3 Eligibility - Neet cutoff is the primary Eligibility Others are 50% in PCB Admission vis done by MCC and the procedure is smooth.

Faculty

5

The faculty to students ratio if is good enough as we have 11 to 10 teachers for each subject for 125 students. Also each faculty has been assigned 2 students as a menti. The students teacher relationship is very friendly and the faculties are supportive to a great extent. I am not gonna name any faculty because of privacy reasons. Exam systems are exhaustive and their numbers are countless as we have a part completion test and viva every week or so for once ina two week . The professional exam curriculum is same as provided by NMC.

Night Life

5

1 Gym - available whole day 2 Cafeterias - There are many in and out the campus like Paradise, amul ,vidhi ,night shelter etc. Their timings are varriable but they are available for late night cravings. 3 As it is a hospital the campus gates are always open and hostel closing time is 10:30 pm 4 Inside the campus is all the way peaceful to hangout. Outside- Baba dham Mandir, Nandan pahad etc. The locality is safe and sound enough.

Other Applied Colleges

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College - [MGMMC] | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

This college infrastructure is very less developed as compared to AIIMS and there are some serious issues like r@gging in that college campus.

There is no such specific aspects of curriculum that influenced me to choose this course, I choosed because I'm intrested in this field. I think couse curriculum and teaching method can be improved by adding some technical knowledge into medical field. The frequency of exam is good. Difficultly level is medium which is good for us.
