Course Curriculum Overview

4

No doubt about it, the teaching we get here is a combo of theory, practicals and real life based, where theory part is covered by books and how our faculties found that part in the patients like certain complications.

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college being a medical college so it provides an internship opportunity after we passed our 4th year exams The internship is done in the AIIMS only and sometimes we need to visit certain primary health centres and community health centres.. The internship is one the best experience provided by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my college(AIIMS Deoghar), the fees is taken only during the admission it's not much, around 17k which includes various security money (11000/-) and the tution fees(5869/-). Hostel fees is included in the above. We only have to pay the mess fees.

Campus Life

4

We have an annual fest named Helix, take place in September and ends with the college foundation day Also we have our various sports fest like Leap(for cricket),etc. The library includes all kinds of reference we would ever need and is much more than the needed. For now we don't have any student run social groups for now. It's a large campus and has various sports facilities like basketball court, tennis court, cricket and football ground and badminton court inside academic block (for now).

Admission

We have to give an entrance exam(NEET UG) to get the admission in the medical colleges and for AIIMS it's the same from 2020. I chose other colleges too but I didn't get admission because the seats are limited and some of them filled before my rank and also I had to choose this college because it's better than the some others. In 2024, the students took admission with marks around 690 in neet. Having a better rank in neet is the criteria to take admission here

Faculty

4

Here in medical colleges the faculties are the doctors and they have very hectic life, in between of treating patients and teaching us, they also help us in various aspects. The exam pattern is like every semester is of 6 months and each semester we have a mid semester exam and an end semester exam.

Night Life

4

Our college is so far away from the city so there's no outside hangout places But in the city there's certain restaurants and cafes which are liked the most of the students and faculties also. For inside the amphitheatre and the cafeteria in the night shelter are the places where we go to get some peace or some snacks when we don't want mess good There's 2 gym for students separately in boys and girls hostel. It's not as good as the gym we have seen off campus but it fulfills the students needs.

MBBS is all about learning and exploring . Only choose this profession when you have a will to help others otherwise it would be a difficult course for you. The passing marks of examination is 50 and for that you need to study hard.

Mbbs is a long duration course of about 5.5 years in which there is 1 year of compulsory internship.being a doctor is the noble profession and gives you huge respect and that's why i choose this course, this was me and my parents dream as well.this curriculum prepares you to face upcoming challenges that you have to face as a doctor.i think practical work should be more instead of just bookish knowledge.there is 3 terminals in a regular interval of 3 months and then final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program is a highly sought-after degree that prepares students for a career in medicine. A key aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is its emphasis on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. The inclusion of subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology provides a strong foundation for understanding the human body and its functions. Furthermore, the clinical rotations and internships allow students to interact directly with patients, giving invaluable hands-on experience. The curriculum is well-structured to equip students for real-world medical practice and further academic pursuits. Clinical postings in hospitals and exposure to different medical specialties enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills. The focus on research methodology also lays the groundwork for those interested in pursuing postgraduate studies or contributing to medical advancements. However, there are areas where the MBBS curriculum could improve. For instance, introducing more interactive teaching methods, such as case-based discussions and simulation labs, would better prepare students for complex clinical scenarios. Additionally, integrating modules on soft skills, such as communication and empathy, could enhance patient care. Exams are frequent, usually held at the end of each semester, with assessments ranging from theory papers to practical exams. While challenging, they are crucial for assessing a student’s knowledge and clinical aptitude. However, spreading out exams and providing more time for preparation could reduce stress and improve performance, ensuring a better learning experience overall. Cons are course length and also the difficulty level.
