Mepco College overall review by alumni (pros and cons)

They will offer specialization courses like 3D printing, Mechanical Design, Thermal Engineering along with Mechanical Engineering. So we can choose the areas of expertise according to our convenience. Each period will be recorded and available in 24hrs in online through impartus as absentees can know what happened. Each month second week we will have Internal exam and next week coaching performed for the students who scored low after regular college hours. Then the 3rd week will be retest for those defaulters and who were willing to take.

My college has dedicated Placement Cell. Their main role played from students once get into Second year even semester (4th semester). They will conduct various skill trainings like Soft Skill training, Aptitude training and also Coding skills. From 3rd year they will separate students by placement, higher education and Business. The students who prefer placement will attend various placement opportunities which comes to the college.They will support the students even they got offer letter already. Even after graduation still supporting the students for placement.

Our campus conducts every year intra cultural event as "Fiesta". Students can enroll and participate in many events like singing, dancing (solo, group), Orchestral peformance, Treasure hunt, photography contest, etc.., They also conducts Inter college events yearly once. For technical improvement, Mepexpo is conducted every year for improving technical skills. Our college has many clubs like Photography club, English club, Microsoft club, Mechanical Design club, Rotary club. Etc.., Our college involves many social activites like planting trees and cleaning rivers and also providing welfare support to rural areas. My friends were succeeded in every sports as they providing dedicated training to us.

I applied for Thiagarajar College of Engineering, PSG College of Engineering and Tech. and Anna University, Guindy and Mepco Schlenk Engineering College. I applied admission and enrolled in exam for selection for merit management and luckily i got passed and selected in Merit management in Mepco college. If i failed then along with merit fees, donation fees need to paid.

The faculty will be assigned in the ratio of 50:1 as 1 faculty per 50 students each subject. The best faculty were many like Dr. L. PRAKASH, Dr. BALAMURUGAN, Mr. N. J. VIGNESH. Each semester comprises of 3 Internal Exams and if failed in those internal exams can take retest and average is taken for all 3 internal exams along with attendance and assignments, they will take internals for 40 marks and the semester exam converted to 60 marks and totally for 100 marks. Exam will be a challenging one as we can't attend if we memorise and spit it only we can survive with out understanding as the questions will be problem finding one.

This campus have gym, sports ground and dedicated yoga hall centre for us. Our campus has a strict rule for hostellers as only one day for outing and also for 2 hours that too every year students on different days. Girl students is not allowed for outing. If the student not returned within 2 hours, automated messages will be sent to their parents as their children is not returned. There were not much hangout places as our college is outer from the sivakasi city. Cafeteria in our colleged is decent not that good. But it has dedicated Extension center of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank inside our college premises which will report to TMB, Thirutangal.
