KIIT University. Is it worth it

The curriculum is based on the decision of board members and its mostly the same as other colleges and IITs as far as i have talked to hese university students. The curriculum fairly prepares you for real situations. Improvements would be actually giving us the knowledge we would need in placements and interviews which they do not provide.

Students become eligible for placements by the end of 6th semester. The companies visited are JP Morgan, BNY Mellon, Amazon, Atlassian and many more. The offers were good as 45LPA. The highest was 60LPA and avgm is 10lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is unknown to me, My plans after would be to get a job

The year wise fees I pay is 375000, and we had to pay extra for admission like 20 to 30k and we also paid 75k for a laptop, and there is no fee reduction for reservations but they do have scholarships for kiitee rank holders or 10sgpa holders.

There are events every other day, every kimd of events you name it and there is a huge 3 day annual fest where various events go on till 10 11pm. Various sorts of educational as well as fun books are available in the library, they have a wide variety of collection. The technologies used are modern and very new and costly ones. There is a student activity center with many sports to play. And there are dance, music, sports, books, fashion and many socities.

I applied to many colleges including SOA ITER, Gitam Hyd, BITS but the most feasible for me was this college as i am a day boarder and i did not get rejected from other colleges infact i got into NIT Rourkela for Civil but i wanted Comp. Science so i opted this process, the admission process was good, we got goodies and food as well and books.

The faculty student ration would be 30:70. The professors are very approachable and will help you whenever you need any help and most of them are IIT or NIT or foreign university passouts. And many professor keep extra credits and bonus marks so poor students can have better marks. I do not think im allowed to name the professors. Some faculties are old and do not understand situations and are biased to locals so that is a problem. There are mid sems in between the semester and end sems at the end of the semester and there are quizzes as much as a professor would like to give a class and its pretty easy if you pay attention in class.

The college gym and cafeteria all close by 8pm. The hostel in time is 7:30pm officially but students still return by 10pm, The famous hangout spot is MBA Garden, and outside many food stalls and yes the locality is safe all the time.
