Remarks

This place lack many facilities like if you want to buy some clothes you need to travel to Rudrpur or Haldwani. Even places for hangout is less here. But one thing you can count is the university library and CCF facilities. Library is really good in terms of infrastructure

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Semester system is there. So there are two semesters each year. There are almost 9-10 courses per semester. If you are from bio stream then you have to study maths in 1st sem and if you are from maths then you have to study biology. There are 4 type of exams in each sem. 1 hourly exam of 15 marks after about 1.5 months and then another hourly after 1 month. Then there are makeup exams if you missed your hourly exam. Then practicals are there of 20 marks. At last we have final exams of 50 marks.

Placement Experience

3.5

If you want to go for a placement in a private enterprise than you can fetch upto 30000-40000 per month. Many students prepare for higher studies also. JRF is an entrance exams for scholarship upto 12000Rs/month in MSC. Many students also prepare for Agriculture Officer and banking. Other prepare for entrance exam like CAT,GMAT etc for MBA. At about 90 percentile one can get a call from IIM Ahmedabad.

College Events

2.5

We have fresher's in about 1-2 months from the day we join in. Our senior of 2nd year teaches us dance, singing, skit or whatever we want to take part in. Then there is Agri night at the end of 1st year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is about 30000-40000 Rs per semester including hostel and food Tution fees is just about 10000Rs. Sometimes we have to contribute for events and functions. There is no dress code for the college so we also have to spent on what to wear

Fees and Financial Aid

Students who come from ICAR get scholarship each year but they have to maintain a GPA of at least 7. Students having domicile of Uttarkhand can get a scholarship of about 24000/year if they have farmland and thier produce is sent to a Mandi.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many competition here in sports, literary, music, dance. There is a stadium where students go for practice. Facilities are there for each supports. It also has a gym but it's just average. We have athletic meet where there are many sports competition.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We have two different hostels. One is for first year only and other is for 2nd, 3rd and final year. Hostel have all basic facilities. In first year 3 student live in a single room and from 2nd year onwards single room is provided to each students (boys). Girls live 3 students per room from first to final year

Alumni/Alumna

One thing we learned here is that seniors helps more than professors. There is a good bond between juniors and seniors. Seniors help in guidance and even teaches us sometimes. From books to financial help we get here from our seniors.

Admission

By giving entrance exam and getting 80 Rank. Rank under 200 can get admission easily. First veterinary seats are filled and then agriculture, home science and fisheries. Various documents like affidavits for ragging, birth certificate, TC are required at the time of the counseling. Then just 1 day after counseling classes started.

Faculty

2

Faculty is average here. Some professors are really good and others are poor too. Each student is allowed a advisor who is a professor and he may or may not teaches us. And if our attendance is less than 85% then we have to condone our attendance from the advisor and instructor of that course.

The college has consistent placement record , reflecting strong academic, industrial training exposure. The placement cell also provide guidance for further and better opportunities, I guess there is no college which give direct placement for agriculture, yes we get to collaborate with many good training institutes and as far as i have seen majority of students go for Maters for the same course. In courses like AME, BHM, BCA & IT the college has significantlly good score, pharmacy department also has good no. of placements in MAX, Apollo, Cipla, Zydus lie companies.
