What Students Say

Likes

The college have great environment for studies and other activities
Great infrastructure, great clubs and events
Good mess food and good hostels for both males and females

Dislikes

Placements are not that good yet you can work on yourself to get high
The ratio of boys and girls is not so good as our of 60 20 are girls in every class
The College fees is high to be honest in my opinion

Course Curriculum Overview

As there are many courses available in SRM you can choose whatever you want but I opted btech core so that I can get exposure in every field our course is pretty good it has great application in real world The teachers are also very good the only improvement i think can be done is including more courses like gfx

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for our college is 450000 per year it's for the core branch also it's depend on the branch you have opted as per I know the btec branches have same 450k fees per year also there are many scholarship for the student

Campus Life

We have many fest and clubs which held functions thoughtout the year we have a central library where we have 24 by 7 entry we can study there with free WiFi including numerous no of books available we have great classroom with ac and digital borads we have great exposure to sports and games in college there are many clubs like nss and ncc which gave great impact on student life

Admission

I applied for the college like vit and pit but opted SRM ktr because the environment of SRM in my opinion is pretty good as compared to vit I got selected in vit also still I opted SRM over vit the admission process is pretty simple you have to give SRM entrance exam which helds in 3 stages

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is good you will never feel like faculty is not good or not qualified.i personally liked my fa Vijiya Kumar who and I didn't liked my maths teacher at all because i don't like the sub the exams are pretty decent with 60 40 weightage 60 internals and 40 externals

Night Life

Yes we have gym facilities for both boys and girls where we can workout yes we have cafeteria in each building we have seperate hostel for girls and boys where end time for boys is 9 pm and for girls it is 7 the places to visit are potheri lake

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
