Course Curriculum Overview

5

As I wanted to become a chartered accountant from the beginning I have to do B.com as for B.com in my area this is the best and most affordable college. The curriculum is very well designed and makes us industry ready or teaches us well if we want to pursue further education.

Placement Experience

4

Students can sit in placements from 5th semester. There are many companies which visited the college last year including TCS, Wipro, Tech mahindra, and many more. The average package for last year was 3.75 lpa. And the highest according to me was 6lpa. As many as 70% students get placed. My plans after graduation are either to do Chartered accountant or do an MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 12000fees this year The fees for some of my batchmates who were in SC ST category they paid the total fees of 8000. As this is a government college there are many government scholarships for Category students and for below poverty line students.

Campus Life

5

Library is very vast and you can find each and every book related to the curriculum. There are many fests which takes place in the campus every year. Classrooms have all the advanced facilities like projector smart board etc. There are many students led groups for different hobbies like painting, singing, sports.

Admission

I have applied to 2 colleges and was accepted in both the colleges for same course. But as this college was near me and in my budget so I choose this college over the other. The admission process is simple you just have to score above 75% in your 12th board exam.

Faculty

5

The faculties are very friendly and understanding and are in good terms with all the students. They take 4 exams per year which is 3months apart from each other and 2 exams per semester which is 6 months apart.

Interview Experience

5

No I didn't face any gd or interview for the admission but some of the students who were taking different course in my college were asked for a gd or interview or written test. Topics were the basic knowledge of there respective course and some general knowledge.

Night Life

5

As this college is situated in the main city everything around it is excellent the cafe's, the food, gym, parks, most of them open at 9am and are open till 11pm so students can hangout easily. And it is very safe.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
