What Students Say
Likes

- Canteen area was quite big and hygienic.
- Friendly atmosphere was provided by everyone.
Dislikes
- In the name of placements, they bring out the caller helpline jobs for every field whether it's your field or not. If u seeking placement then this isn't for you.
- Once you are DSCW, you can not switch your college, however needful or compelled you are, you have to stay here.
- Every higher faculty is only fulfilling their duties and won't understand your situations. If you are against them.
Course Curriculum Overview
Relevance of course is all theory but if we talk of it for real world it's not much that. Course should be more focused towards skill builder and not reading only. No practical hand experience over computer applications that are actually needed like excel advance or formulas. BBA generally offers various specialisation in the last year but they only have HR and if anybody wants to go for other options like marketing or finance which are basic for all they try to get them enrolled in HR ONLY. THEY HAVE REFUSED TO BRING MARKETING OR FINANCE FACULTY FOR STUDENTS.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hey it's DSCW where women only atmosphere provides the comfortable learning environment to all. I've opted for bachelors of business administration course in 2021-2024 duration. The course fee of first year (2021-22) was 36500/- and by the 2nd year (2022-23) it was increased by 41600/-, whereas by the last year (2023-24) it was 46600/- approx. This fee was accompanied by the admission form and prospectus of 799/- each year. Despite this, there were parking charges, hostel charges and accomodation facilities such as laundary in the hostel was also charged according to the usage. If you belong to any special category like SC or ST u can get somewhat relief in your fees. This college allows you a good faculty experience.
Campus Life
The first event they do is fresher's that is in September mostly and college being affiliated to Panjab University it prepares student for youth festival which is the fest of all affiliated colleges and at last farewell throw at april may. Library has a good atmosphere and books were good but if you are seeing latest syllabus books there then sorry.. College has NCC and NSS as per the interested students. It also has some NGO clubs.
Admission
I've chosen SD college of Sector 32 at first and Govt College of Sector 46 at Second as of being in my locality and their study reports were very respectful. Basically we get college based on our merit n locality by the UT higher Education department itself. It allots college to students as per their accordance. However in the 3 lists of total I've got this college. However the college accepts directly admitted students too as many of my classmates were direct to the college and not through the Admission portal.
Faculty
1. In my BBA course there were 60 students enrolled out of which 40 only attended the class of first year. We had 6 subjects and out of which 1 teacher is taking 2 subjects. Only total of 3 teachers are there in BBA faculty department. 2. Teachers are moderate for student-teacher relationship thing. Few are more focused towards completing the syllabus only. 3. Head of BBA department was an arrogant teacher and she is that loyal teacher to college who can ruin students career just to keep the money flow inwards to the college. She won't understand you or your hard life. 4. Mid semester exam+ Final exam of semester. Every semester is of 6 months as we know and thus in a year there was 2 mid semester and 2 final semester exams.
Night Life
No nightlife is available in or around the college. The society around the college is pathetic and disgraceful. Girls can't even step out individually there from there hostels. Hostel food is promised to be house like but it's even worse than hotel foods. But same repeated meal.
