Andhra University a better college and a real review

The course curriculum is very much relevant and also contains all the skills or subjects that are needed during the placement or internship. I would say along with the course curriculum we should also have a own practice. The course also contains lab practicals alongside the theory classes so we can also have a hands on experience whether it might be a chemistry lab or a physics lab or a computer lab. Coming to the examination frequency , first mid exam is conducted after approximately 2 months of the starting of the course then again after a month gap will have the mid two exam and there would be a gap like 20 days to the sem exam. The time table will be given at the starting of the semester only it contains the dates when the exam should be conducted.

Coming to the internship opportunities you will find internships in the placements group. But it is better to find opportunities out of the campus to get industrial experience and all. In a 7th semester you should compulsory do the internship and submit the certificate also you will be having Viva on that. You can also do an internship in 8th semester.

Coming to the point of placements, people might think Government universities may not get many placements but it is a myth. The truth here is there are many companies that are visiting are college and almost 80% of the people would be placed. Students who are in the 4th year are eligible for the placements and for internships from 3rd year or even from 1st year for some internships they are eligible. The average package here is 4 lpa. There are also highest packages like 16 lpa. But you need to have the skills to get placed. We also have a placement office here where the offline interviews will be going on. Also mass recruiters like Infosys ,TCS, Accenture all these have visited our college. I myself got placed in Infosys.

The fees structure of our course is 62k. It is because information technology branch is a self financed branch so there will be this huge fees when compared to other branches fees. But do not worry people who get scholarships from AP Govt can get this even this is a self financed course. I think fees has been increased. That was the fee when I was joined in 2021.

Campus life here is very good. Literally this is a very huge campus but roaming with friends makes it easy. Yeah there is a library in a engineering campus as well as in the south campus. The library in the south campus is very large compared to the engineering campus library. But the engineering campus library is also good enough and contains all the books that are needed for your course and also out of the box for government exams or competitive exams. Coming to the clubs there are many clubs like United club, cultural sports club. The facilities in the classroom are white board with a marker and also you have a large TV screen where teachers show the ppt for explaining. Some classrooms also contain AC. There are some fests which happen. The college first happens yearly once which is done very grandly. That are also other fests, flash mobs that happen frequently.

Coming to the hostel, your provided a girls hostel or a boys hostel. There are many blocks of hostels. 1st year it is completely a different block of a hostel to avoid ragging even in the hostel. The mess menu is good and also get updates according to the seasonal vegetables. There are options according to the person is a vegetarian or a non vegetarian. In case there keeping a non veg on a particular day the. there will also be a veg curry beside. The registration process for hostel is you need to go to the hostel office and submit all the documents and application and should pay the fees. For self finance course it is 6250 for year(now it may be increased). For other branches it is something around 4K. Then besides this you need to pay hostel mess fee which will be approximately 2.7k every month. There are no other facilities like washing machine or geysers available. But showers are available. For 1st year, a room is given for people shared by 2 which has one tube light and a fan. Then from second years you have room shared by 4 which has 2 fans and 2 lights.

The admission process to this college is simple. Everyone who cleared EAMCET can apply to this college through the counselling process. This is the most prestigious University where everybody will be willing to join. And for most of the students this would be the first option in the web options during counselling. Same like others this is the first college that I have put in my web options. This is the topmost University so cut off will also be bit higher when compared to other colleges. Getting a seat in CSE in Andhra University is a difficult thing which you should have rank approx 2k. Also the cut of vairies with the category.

Coming to the faculty and students ratio, like for every subject a faculties assigned and they come and teach the specific subject. All the faculty here are very experienced and mostly you can find senior faculties here. Sometimes PhD scholars working under these faculties can also come to teach classes. And coming to the exams in a semester we have two mid exams and a final semester exam. Mid exams are conducted on the syllabus what they taught. Listening to classes is most sufficient to clear the mid exam or the semester exam. The course curriculum also get updates in real time so it is more relevant. Also no need to worry about the semester exams almost everybody passes in the exam.

After the classes complete most of the students hangout near the campus canteens. Also we have Open spaces like civil gallery principal block gallery where you can happily sit and chitchat. But if you are staying in hostel you should come back to the hostel before 7:00 p.m. or else you will be fined. You can find watchman guards in the campus even at the night time. Library closes off by 8:00 p.m.
