Threads of NIT Patna

As I am a student of Mechanical engineering and in my department their is relevant cource and curriculam with respect to the current industry standards. Here in 1st year we learn about physics, chemistry, maths, HSS, Mechanics, Workshop, IT, etc.

As I'm in 1st year so I have not as that much of knowledge about the internship opportunity provided by the institute. But I heard they provide a good number of internship to the students both for core and non core jobs.

The placement scenario of the institute is quite good as they made a bar through which company can offer packages above 6 LPA to the students. The recent data shows every years the placement stats is improving. In Mechanical engineering the average is about 8.5 LPA, meduan is about 9LPA, highest is about 19 LPA.

The total amount that can be paid for a year is around 220000 if you didn't get any fee remission. But if your family income is less than 1 lakhs then you will get full tution fee remission, if your family income is in between 2 to 5 lakhs then you will get 2/3 rd tution fee remission. Even if you're SC or ST candidate then you get full tution fee remission for your entire course.

For this year there is no fest going to happen in the institute but from the last year I can say there is a fest named eccentrica which is an annual and also there is techfest happens in the institute. There is a central library available for students inside the campus which has a large collection of books and those are really helpful durings the semester exams. The facility provider is basic inside the classroom and you can't expect too much from them. There are various clubs that are catered by students.

For 1st year boys the hostel provided are Sone A, Sone B, Kosi, Kosi extension, bagmati and for 1st year girls there is Ganga hostel provided. The sitting capacity of hostel rooms depends but mostly they are 3 sitter, 5 sitter, 2 sitter and even single sitter is also provided. The quality of mess food is average and you can survive it from that. You can register hostel and mess at the time of institute registration.

As NIT Patna is institute of national importance and can only be accessed by JOSAA or CSAB through your JEE mains rank score. As per my rank in JEE mains I have various colleges options amoung NIT's and IIIT's and I choosed NIT Patna over then because here I got Mechanical engineering and the recent stats of NIT Patna is too good amoung tier 2 NIT's in terms of placement. Also there is new campus of NIT Patna is under construction which may be ready in few years and then the growth of institute is commendable.

Here the faculty is highly skilled and always ready to help you. There are two exams in each semester one is mid sem and another is end sem. The toughness of paper is okaish as you can pass it by learning your class notes.

There is also having gym for boys and girls respectively inside the campus premises. Also inside campus you will find Nescafe spot, cafeteria and stationary shop. For 1st year there is hostel in time of 9 PM. As the institute is situated in the city you can hangout various places of patna.
