Student's Snapshots

Infrastructure & Academic Building

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is very relevant with today's job market demands. In the first year all the students are taught same subject but 2nd year onwards the emphasis is on the course related subject. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are also added to the course. Exams are conducted every 2-3 months. Exams are on a harder level side.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are good depending on students capabilities but there's a lot of companies that visit all year. Students are eligible to sit on placements drive from 6th semester. There are a lot of companies like dell, intell, microsoft etc. highest package is around 50lpa and average is 8-9 lpa. Almost 80-90 % students get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees is nearly 5 lakhs. As per semester we have to pay 2.5 lakh. Scholarship is provided to top rankers of kiitee exam. Fee structure is- course fee - 1,75000 hostel fee - 50000 mess fee = 2500 fee increases every 2-3 years

Campus Life

3

Overall campus life is okayish there are few pros and cons that depends on person to person. Social life is great at kiit owing to the societes students gets lots of chance to present them selves socialize and even take their interest forward. Annual festivals and fests are conducted around Feb - March. Books are provided per semester and even there are 24 hrs libraries and we can access and take any book. The infrastructure and campus are provisioned with new technologies. There are a lot of sports and grounds so that students can enjoy their extracurricular activities. Almost all societies are student-run and have lots of engagements

Admission

I choose this college because my preferred specialization that is computer science engineering which was easier in the this college. I think every thing is similar when compared to the other college except the fees which is bit higher. Admission at KIIT is through 2 ways one is there own online mode exam KIITEE and jee mains exam

Faculty

4

All the faculties are very good and are phd from prestigious institutions of India. Faculties are very good in the way they engage with students as they are very friendly and always eager to help us. Course is 6 month course with a mid semester and end semester and around the semester lots of assignments are given. As this is a private institutions so students secruing less marks are given multiple chances to improve

Night Life

2

Our college nightlife is not great as girls hostels have in time of 7 pm after which girls can't step out. Favorite hangout spots of students are Mba campus and food courts. As there are food courts all over the campus. There are gyms and reading rooms in every hostel and cafeterias are also good.

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. The course is relevant enough to teach you all the basics you would require in engineering though some of the courses can be changed and in place of those new courses can be addded for example for non physics student teaching them quantum mechanincs and that too the old quantum mechanics doesent seem to make sense . The exams are not so frequent and the papers can be rated as moderate

Also there are companies like Amazon or GOOGLE as well. The approx percentage including off and on campus is more than 90%. My plans are basically to explore my entrepreneurship skills.

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
