Likes

low fee structure , low lab and other costs very big and clean campus .
highly qualified faculty , highly motivated teachers
clean and big labs for science students , fests, sports , many everyday some or the fest going on

Dislikes

college is very crowded all the time . outsiders coming on the campus
practical knowledge is missing , theoriticaly no one can beat but practical implementation is missing
not much placements or internship . otherwise teachers are good but they also dont care about the placements

Course Curriculum Overview

If i talk about my course i feel faculty lacks in providing real world knowledge and also the course is such that teachers also cant give more real world things in botany zoology and so on . but if you are a commerce student at PU or in any college of Pu in chandigarh there you excel because commerce faculty is great at what they do i have so many friends who passed with a bcom degree from pu and they got great jobs

Fees and Financial Aid

i paid 29000 per anum. my course was of 3 years so its around 1lakh. plus you have to pay exam fee registration fee lab fee before every semester and it varries ( registration fee was 1400} and other i dont remember. but i would like to say that the course was very very good . fee is not high its just 1 lakh for 3 and a half years

Campus Life

I had a very beautiful and fulfilling exprence at punjab university. the campus life is best . there are so many clubs also that one can join . Many fests also takes place like VIRASAT , annualy celerated

Admission

I only applied for Pu and its colleges because fee is very affordable as compare to other colleges . exposure is also great and why to spend lakhs on a graduation degree when you can get same thing at alower rate getting admission in Pu is generally difficult you need good %in 12th plus you need to clear the entrance exam of pu .

Faculty

all the faculty members were good we used to have semester based exams . i was in bsc [ zoology +BOTANY+ chemistry] if you are a bsc student then you will have english in your 2nd year for 2 semesters only . and there is one more compulsory subject History and culture of punjab or punjabi , this you have to choose in the first year only for first 2 semesters only. Exams are held in december and may

Night Life

fav spot of all pu students would be STUC . pgi road nearby and ofc 26 sec for night life but the life in the campus is very vibrant . people and walking on the streets with guitars singing dancing and what not

College Life : An interesting part of life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a Science student , I loved my curriculum as it provides application parts with laboratories . I choose this course as I always wanted to learn more about science and its various fields. For me overall curriculum is good and have moderate level but I would suggest to reduce the syllabus little bit so that most of the students can learn whole syllabus Exams are being conducted regularly as per the University guidelines.

Curriculum is prepared well. I chose medical as i was a medical student. Curriculum is prepared in such a wau that it will help you out in the real world too. Improvement is required in the books as some of the books are out dated. Timing of exams are accurate we get enough time to prepare for the exam and difficulty level is moderate.
