A semester generally comprises of one mid sem and one end sem For odd sem -it begins from July to nov In between there is a 10 day durga puja break as well After nov ,the month of December is given as a break For even sem - jan to apr From may to july time is given as end sem break

The college provides various internship for students While some internship like in sail needs to be done using emp id There are internship in tata power Also college mess is kept for internship students working nearby campus area

The college has a good placement with avg placement for it being 6.4lpa The highest package this year was around 20lpa While some students also apply for off campus placement The institute is trying to apply as a central university

The yearly fees for general candidates include Tution fees -37500(regular) and 75000(for self sustaining course) Hostel fees-34000 Development fees-14000(one time) The self sustaining course are found only in it and cse branch

There are various clubs in VSSUT u can choose anyone as per your interest For some clubs you have to pass interview rounds and MCQ tests as well Like for our coding club you need to prepare a webpage using html and css

Hostels for boys include pulaha , pulastya , agastya , marichi, kratu, vasistha and atri Among them pulaha and agastya are recently built Pulastya is also great and comes after them There remaining four are older hostels Pulaha even has washing machines Sadly no air conditioning in mess

Firstly it's one of the best and oldest college in odisha It was established in 1956 so u can imagine how old it is ... It has a huge alumni base ,one that even competes to iits It's close to my home so communication isn't a issue

VSSUT maintains a good student to teacher ratio. Like there is at least one teacher per 20 students in labs Also the teachers are quite friendly and can be easily approachable They are quite considerate towards students and understand the problems students are facing

For boys only residents of agastya get a gym in their hostel Others have to go to a private gym (pool club) The college also has a swimming pool with separate timings for boys and girls The city of sambalpur boasts Hirakud dam and various temples
