Experience in college

In computer science and engineering their are subjects like web development in which they teach you HTML , CSS and JavaScript and coding subject in which they will teach C programming in first year. They give you small assignments to do so that you can apply that approach in real world tasks. They should focus on students understanding on the topics more rather than completing the syllabus. After every 1-2 months you will have some class tests to know how better you have understood the concepts of the subjects.

The fees for Btech in Computer science and engineering in KIET group of institutions is 1,40,499 per year irrespective of the category. There are government scholarship for which you can apply for like UP government scholarship, NSP scholarship, Pragati scholarship ( for girls only ) etc. The examination fees are not included in the fees that you are going to pay at first. You have to pay the examination fees later.

There are events conducted by different different clubs like fashion event is conducted by the fashion club , technical events are conducted by the technical clubs , TedX event is conducted by the TedX club . All the events are organised and the preparation of the events are done by E-cell and C-cell which are the event organizing clubs. You can issue 4 books at a time by one I'D card and the library timings are different for day scholars and hostelers. Smart boards and projectors are available in classrooms. There are clubs available for sports and extracurricular activities like music club , dance club , etc. Mostly clubs are run by the senior students.

I applied for some government colleges that are good in AKTU but didn't get the chance there because they needed 95+ percentile to get admission there. And some private colleges near my house. Those were JSS , ABES , GNIOT , AKGEC. I chose this college over the others because it has good opportunities for future, make students work on real time projects , organises hackathons , good event management , placements are good . The admission process for this college are both by counselling and direct admission but to get admission in computer science by direct you have to give an examination conducted by the college and you can give the exam if and only if your PCM percentage is 90 or above 90.

The faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good. Faculties are frank with the students so student don't hesitate to ask their doubts. You can approach the faculty any time during college hours. Every department have their best faculties so it depends on the teacher how they talk to their students. The core branch faculties are not that good so they have to suffer a little in learning their subjects but their faculties try their best that every student is understanding the concept. In every semester there are 2 mid semester exams and 1 end semester exams. The pass percentage is good. Almost every student clears the exams.

The nightlife is pretty good for hostlers specially for boys since they don't have any time limit to roam around the campus. But girls do have to reach the hostel by 8 pm otherwise they have to pay fine for entering late. There are gym available for boys only, cafeterias are available at night and multi purpose complex is also available where you can buy your daily usage stuffs. Inside the college you can go to the cafeterias , you can sit at the grounds. Outside the college you have to travel 2-4 kms if you want to go somewhere to chill out with friends.
