JAU ' review

The course curriculum is quite vast . And moreover the exam pattern is very exhausting because we have exams going on for almost 3 months . There 's no gap of a month between the midterms and the finals. Teaching methods should also get improved . Teachers are following all the conventional stuffs . They should also indulge in new technologies.

There are some IDPs that were held in our college . Several private companies also offer internship and jobs to the eligible students. The local seed and fertilizer companies also hire students for internship .

For girls the tuition fees has been exempted so we only have to pay around 3500 per semester as the tuition fees that includes everything . For boys the fees is approximately 8000 per semester. The students that are selected through ICAR they get a monthly scholarship of 3000 rupees . And the students from Gujarat they also get Rs10,000 annually. To get the scholarship one has to maintain a grade point atleast 7.

There's no much of a campus life here. Because majority of the students here are from Gujarat itself the cultural programmes are also in gujarati language. So they don't have much to offer to outstation students . There are some clubs . Sports activities are quite good for both boys and girls . We have an indoor stadium fir tennis , badminton and other indoor games . We too have a field for outdoor games . We have basketball and volleyball court .

I was preparing for medical entrance exam that is NEET but I scored low and couldn't get through. I gave the ICAR exam and got somewhat 95.6 percentile and got admission in this college after the counselling. I did make the preference list on my own . The admission process is quite easy . After the rank card has been announced we can apply for the counselling and choice filling can be done . After 10-15 days you will be alloted the college according to your rank . Thereafter if you want to take the admission you can contact the college registrar for further information.

Faculties are fine . Our Dean is a really nice person. We have some highly qualified professors . The exams .. we have midterms which include 80% of the syllabus. After the midterms we have a week holiday and then our internals and viva exams are conducted. Thereafter the semester end exams take place .

We have a library , a reading hall . Girls hostels have their separate gym . There's a canteen in the middle of the university. For girls the hostel timings are till 8.00 p.m. in summers and 7.00 p.m in winters . For boys the timing for outing is till 10.00 p.m.
