In this curriculum, we have better examination pattern, and have more interaction with teachers which helps in good communication skills. Vels Institute of Science, Technology, and Advanced Studies encourage students to take up internships in different companies. In the final year of the course, students who undergo internships in both Core and IT domains are honored with a stipend. Internships help students to get proficiency in a particular domain and to get real-time experience on the job. It raises their awareness of best practices in the industry. The placement cell provides internship opportunities as part of campus recruitment. The stipend given on internship ranges from INR 8000 per month to INR 25000 per month. Some of the organizations where our students have done internships are Goldman Sachs, Aditya Birla, IDBI, and United Nations.

The placement are good in the VELS University. For 2 years program, placement are eligible when the 3 sem are over. For 3 years program, placement are eligible when the start 5 semester. There are more companies comes like Accenture Zoho Sutherland Hexaware Hcl TCS capitaland Vestas Dell HP overall in VELS University, 80% are get placed. My plan is to get placed during my placement. Highest package are Rs 15 LPA average package are Rs 6 LPA

For annual festival there will be called NAKSHATRA which is a biggest college event,where top celebrities are attend the festival There are 2 biggest library in the campus and a new library building is also developing. In vels there are more sports activities like cricket tournament,kabaddi team etc There are more clubs in the college like rotaract club,yoga club, etc

I apply to many colleges like SRM University, rajalakshmi university but fore VELS University is better to be honest and it is near to my location and the campus is within the main city I got rejected in some colleges because during my undergraduate, i didn't study mathematics. For MCA, we need mathematics for admission. But in vels,they just ask about the computer knowledge. To get admission for MCA in vels University, eligibility are , should study mathematics or computer science in college or school. Admission process are simple, just fill the admission form then pay the fees that's it.

All the faculties are well educated. All the faculties are PhD completed and have doctorate for the particular department. All the faculties are very friendly and helpful to students and guide us in correct way. For 1 semester, there will be 5 exams CAT exam - internal exam, conducted 2 times. Model exam - conducted before semester exam. Semester practical - conducted before semester theory exam Semester exam Practical exam have 40 marks Semester theory exam have 100 marks During evaluation,the 100 mark will be converted into 60 marks

There are big ground and more hangout spots in the campus and outside the campus there are more shops like restaurant, shopping mall, sports turf, theatre. In the campus there will be gym for hostelers This campus is very same to roam around because full campus are covered with CCTV and security guards.
