Dislikes
- The campus is really bad. There is nothing. Also the infrastructure is not good and lacks maintenence. Even wifi facility is not available for everyone. Library have some good books but making a library card is hectic process.
- There is no website of college all do they use is WhatsApp.Also I don't know but why for every semester we have to pay the admission fees offline, can't we do online? There is no support for placement. Even the college don't have any placement cell.
- There is a gymnasium but it is all empty. No sports equipment available
Course Curriculum Overview
The new curriculum is designed well. The curriculum helps students for further higher studies in respective subjects. But there needs to a lot of improvement like there should be numericals in the examination instead of a practical examination. Mid semester examination is taken after 2-3 months of starting of each semester while the end semester exam is taken after 6 months of every new semester. The exams in few courses like AEC, MDC, VAC, SEC makes no sense as they are just useless. Before admission we have seen in an ordinance that AEC, VAC, SEC, MDC exams will be only objective with 100 questions but the university didn't follow it's own ordinance.
Fees and Financial Aid
For regular COURSES the admission fees is Per semester fees for General /Obc is Rs 2615 Per semester fees for SC/ST and all girls is Rs 170 For examination fees General or EWS/Obc/Ebc/Bc1/Bc2 the fees is Rs850 While for others like Sc st and girls it is Rs600 For vocational courses the fee is generally high compared to regular courses for all other category including girls. The college doesn't provide any scholarship but there are few government scholarship like nsp.
Campus Life
There is no annual and technical fests. Everyday is boring except they organise few sports even for which they don't provide equipments you have to buy them on your own. College has books in library but no journal available. Also for making a card to issue book is hectic that's why 99 %of students here don't have library card. No projector or digital classes available. There is no club. There is just political party groups
Admission
I applied for Hindu College Delhi University through cuet examination also I was getting a seat easily in that college but I choose Patna Science College instead of that because of affordability and location near to hometown
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 1:16. Faculties are good they are easily approachable and answers queries of the students. In fact the statistics department, Chemistry department, Mathematics department have best faculties. The department of English and Hindi faculties are not good they are very rude. There are 1 Mid semester exam of 15 marks and 1 End semester exam of 70 marks. Minimum passing marks for Mid semester em is 6 while for the end semester is 33.
Interview Experience
There was no group discussion. After the admission is finalised on the website you have to go to college with all the original documents along with the photocopy and few photographs and they will verify everything.
Night Life
The college gate is closed on 6 pm after that there is no one. Even for the past 5 months the college hostel is locked. There is nothing here to hang with friends but outside the college campus there are few areas to roam.
Other Applied Colleges
Hindu College | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Chemistry)
