- The best part about the university is the social life which the university offers in the terms of events and the concerts they organise
Dislikes
- The campus is very huge. Students have to walk very far if they want to visit some other academic block.
- If students face any issue in terms of the fees or in the attendance, there is a long process which takes place and then to solve your issue
- There is a compulsion of maintaining 75% attendance, which gets difficult at some point
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and the content actually prepares the students for Real Word applications and the content is very much relevant with the course like my course was B economics and we were taught not only single subject, but various subjects which are relevant with that course, and with that, we had some extra subjects which included practical subjects a student can easily score good marks in a particular subject if he or she has paid attention to the class lectures, and here she has started the content which is shared by the teachers
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies which comes to the university for the internship and the placement programs like Google and Microsoft. It actually depends on different courses. There are some courses which do not offer good placement programs because they will have to visit themselves to different companies and then give interviews. The packages here for some courses are very good. The range from 10, lakhs to 3040 lakhs per annum
Placement Experience
There are many placement programs which take place in the university. Many companies like Google and Microsoft offers placements to the university and students. Most of the time gets eligible for the placements in their last year because that is the final year and a student who wants a good placement, maintain Attendance of 75 to 80% and CGB of 7.5 every semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
You can get admission there either on the basis of CUCET entrance exam of Chandigarh University or on the basis of your 12th class result, then you can get a scholarship on the basis of your percentage in the class 12th or the marks you scored in the CUCET exam Then you will have to pay an admission fee of ?5000. After that, whatever your amount is on the basis of the scholarship, you get, you will have to pay that along with 2500 Which is the examination fee.
Campus Life
I think my overall experience was average because I am a person who does not like working much and and here in the university, we have a huge campus so if you want to visit from academic Block A1 to academic Block Deep, do you want you have to walk through kilometres and that is so much time consuming because you have your classes at the same time, and if you face any issue in your attendance or in your fee structure, you'll have to visit different departments And if we take this thing apart, otherwise the university is very well on top. There are many social groups, clubs for students in which they can participate and they also give you opportunity to perform on stage not only in the university, but in other universities, also at state or university level.
Hostel Facilities
The host provided with the facility of ACs or coolers. It depends on which room you have taken, and the fee also differs, then you toilet have common washrooms at every floor. Every floor has 10 to 15 washrooms and there are usually 6 to 10 floors in every hostels. Then they provide you with a single cupboard and a private bed. You will have to get your own mattresses and bedsheets.
Admission
I actually thought of taking admission in the CGC Landra, which is near to Chandigarh University, but that college was far from the main city and I change my mind of taking a particular course that university did not have to be honours and economics and Chandigarh University had, and the campus of the University is very much better than that I think the university is very much good. If a student actually wants to study the teachers here. Also make sure that the students paying attention on their studies and as well as on the other extra activities.
Faculty
The faculty members. In my course BA economics are very good. The other facilities are also very good understanding. Also, the examination here takes place in three levels to exams are midsemester test which takes place two times in a particular semester and then we have final exam examination, the Met semester test Are of 20 marks, each subject and final exam examinations out of 60 marks each subject. The examination here is not that tough, easy, and also it depends upon the teacher how they score you
Night Life
The hostel timings and the campus timings are different for boys and girls, and the people who are staying outside the university. If you are a girl and you're staying in a hostel, you will have to get inside the hostel at seven or 8 PM for your attendance, and if you are staying outside the university, and that is in your PG or your a flat, you can roam around the campus for around 7 PM to 8 PM and then they close the gate of the university The hostel life and the university is good. It actually depends on a single individual or their social interaction skills is and how well they can manage themselves in the hostel environment. The food out there in the hostel is good. There is different menu for all the seven days
